The VATOS VL-F8 RC Helicopter is equipped with advanced features for an enjoyable flight experience:

4. Setup

4.1 Remote Control Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  2. Open the battery cover.
  3. Insert 3 x AAA batteries (not included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery cover securely.

4.2 Helicopter Battery Charging

  1. Ensure the helicopter is powered off.
  2. Connect the USB charging cable to the helicopter's charging port.
  3. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a USB power source (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter).
  4. The charging indicator light will show the charging status (refer to the cable's specific indicator behavior).
  5. Once fully charged, disconnect the cable. A full charge provides approximately 22 minutes of flight time.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Pairing the Helicopter and Remote Control

  1. Turn on the helicopter's power switch. The LED lights on the helicopter will flash.
  2. Place the helicopter on a flat surface.
  3. Turn on the remote control.
  4. Push the left joystick (throttle) all the way up, then all the way down. The remote control will beep, and the helicopter's LED lights will become solid, indicating successful pairing.

5.2 Basic Flight Controls

  • Left Joystick (Throttle):
    • Push up: Increase altitude (Up)

  • Speed Switch Button: Toggles between low-speed and high-speed modes.

5.3 Flight Tips

  • For beginners, start in low-speed mode and practice hovering in an open area.
  • The helicopter features an altitude hold function, allowing it to maintain a stable height automatically after take-off.
  • The maximum control distance is approximately 30 meters (98 feet) in an open, interference-free environment.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Blade Replacement

If a rotor blade becomes damaged, it can be replaced using the provided spare blades and screwdriver.

  1. Identify the damaged blade and determine if it is an 'A' or 'B' type blade (indicated on the blade).
  2. Using the included screwdriver, carefully unscrew the screw holding the damaged blade in place.
  3. Remove the damaged blade.
  4. Install a new blade of the same type ('A' or 'B') in the correct orientation.
  5. Securely tighten the screw. Do not overtighten.

6.2 General Care

  • Keep the helicopter and remote control clean and dry.
  • Avoid exposing the product to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
  • When not in use for extended periods, remove batteries from the remote control.

7. Safety Precautions

  • This product is suitable for users aged 14 and above. Adult supervision is recommended for younger users.
  • Always operate the helicopter in an open, clear area, away from people, pets, and obstacles.
  • Do not fly near power lines, trees, or water.
