Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your reciprocating saw.
- Cleaning: After each use, unplug the tool and clean the exterior with a damp cloth. Remove any sawdust or debris from the ventilation openings.
- Blade Care: Always use sharp, undamaged blades. Dull or bent blades can cause kickback and reduce cutting efficiency. Replace blades as needed.
- Storage: Store the saw in a dry, secure place out of reach of children.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your saw, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- Saw not starting: Check the power connection. Ensure the outlet is functional.
- Excessive vibration: Ensure the blade is correctly installed and not bent. Check if the branch support is securely attached if in use.
- Poor cutting performance: Replace dull or damaged blades. Ensure you are using the correct blade type for the material.
