Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install your Koda Security Floodlight. For a visual guide, please refer to the installation video below.

1. Select Installation Location: Choose a suitable outdoor location. It is suggested to install the light at least 6.5 feet above the ground for optimal coverage.
2. Turn Off Power: Before starting, turn off the main power breaker to the light fixture. Use a voltage tester to ensure the power is completely off at the installation site.
3. Remove Existing Light: Carefully remove any existing light fixture from the outlet box.
4. Install Mounting Bracket: Begin by installing the mounting bracket. Ensure the front of the bracket is facing outwards, towards you. Secure the bracket firmly with the included mounting screws.

5. Prepare Wiring: Pull the outlet box wires through the mounting plate. Level and secure the mounting plate before tightening completely.
6. Connect Wires: Insert the corresponding outlet box wires into the terminal box.
   • Insert the positive black wire into the terminal labeled 'L' (black).
   • Insert the negative white wire into the terminal labeled 'N' (white).
   • Insert the ground wire into the terminal box marked 'GND'.
   Tighten and secure the terminal box screws.

7. Mount the Floodlight: Align the bottom edge of the security light with the bottom of the mounting plate. Push the light into place and secure it using the large mounting bolt.

8. Insert Decorative Knob: Once the light is secured, insert the decorative knob into the mounting bolt hole.

9. Remove Protective Stickers: Carefully remove any protective stickers from each lamp head.
10. Orient Motion Sensor: Ensure the motion sensor is facing the correct direction. The side marked "THIS SIDE UP" must be facing upwards, and the control switches on the bottom should be facing downwards towards the ground.

Operating Instructions

Your Koda Security Floodlight is equipped with adjustable features to customize its performance to your needs. All light settings can be adjusted using the controls located on the bottom of the motion sensor.

Adjusting Lamp Heads and Motion Sensor

• Lamp Head Position: The three LED lamp heads can be adjusted independently up, down, and side-to-side to direct light to your desired areas.

• Motion Sensor Adjustment: The motion sensor itself can also be moved horizontally to best fit your needs, providing optimal coverage.

Control Settings (Located on the bottom of the motion sensor)

• SENS (Motion Detection Range): This control adjusts the motion detection range and sensitivity. The setting with the largest black bar represents the longest and most sensitive range, capable of reaching up to 70 feet. Adjust this to your preferred range (close, medium, or far).

• LUX (Ambient Light Sensor): This setting controls the ambient light sensor, determining when the light activates based on natural light levels. It can keep the light either on or off during daylight hours to save energy.

• CLOCK (Light Duration): This control determines how long the light stays on after motion has been detected. You can choose between 1, 3, or 7 minutes.
