2. Important Safety Information
- Water and Moisture: Do not expose the radio to dripping or splashing water. Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the radio.
- Heat: Do not place the radio near heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation. Do not block any ventilation openings.
- Power Source: Only use the power adapter supplied with the radio or a certified micro USB cable with a compatible USB power source.

Controls and Connections:

5. Setup
5.1 Charging the Battery
The i-box Spectrum radio features a built-in 2200mAh lithium battery, providing up to 15 hours of playback on a single charge. Before first use, or when the battery is low, charge the radio:
- Connect the supplied Micro USB charging cable to the Micro USB port on the radio.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a powered USB port (e.g., a USB wall adapter, computer USB port).
- The charging indicator on the display will show the charging status. Once fully charged, the indicator will change.

5.2 First Power On and Automatic Scan
When you power on the radio for the first time, it will automatically perform a full scan for available DAB/DAB+ stations.
- Extend the telescopic antenna fully for optimal reception.
- Press and hold the Power Button to turn on the radio.
- The radio will display "Scanning" and begin searching for DAB/DAB+ stations. This process may take a few minutes.
- Once the scan is complete, the radio will automatically tune to the first available station.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off
- To turn on: Press and hold the Power Button.
- To turn off: Press and hold the Power Button again.
6.2 Selecting DAB/FM Mode
Press the DAB/FM Button to switch between DAB/DAB+ digital radio and FM analog radio modes.

6.3 DAB/DAB+ Radio Operation
- Ensure the radio is in DAB mode. If not, press the DAB/FM Button.
- If no stations are found or you wish to rescan, press and hold the Enter/Scan Button to initiate a full scan.
- Use the Up/Down Navigation Buttons to browse through the list of available stations.
- Press the Enter/Scan Button to select and tune to a station.
- Press the Info/Menu Button repeatedly to cycle through different display information (e.g., program type, signal strength, time, date).
6.4 FM Radio Operation
- Ensure the radio is in FM mode. If not, press the DAB/FM Button.
- To automatically scan for the next available station, press and hold the Enter/Scan Button. The radio will tune to the next strong signal.
- To manually tune, use the Left/Right Navigation Buttons to adjust the frequency in small increments.
- Press the Info/Menu Button repeatedly to cycle through different display information (e.g., RDS text, frequency, time).
6.5 Storing and Recalling Presets
The radio allows you to store up to 60 stations (30 DAB/30 FM) and offers 5 quick-access preset buttons.

To Store a Preset:
- Tune to the desired DAB or FM station.
- Press and hold the Preset Button (1-5) you wish to assign the station to. The display will confirm the station has been saved.
- For presets beyond 5, press the Preset Button (not 1-5) to enter the preset menu. Use Up/Down Navigation Buttons to select a preset number, then press Enter/Scan to save.
To Recall a Preset:
- Press the desired Preset Button (1-5) to instantly tune to the saved station.
- For presets beyond 5, press the Preset Button (not 1-5) to enter the preset menu. Use Up/Down Navigation Buttons to select the desired preset, then press Enter/Scan to tune.
6.6 Volume Control
Rotate the Volume Knob clockwise to increase the volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it.
6.7 Personal Listening (Headphones)
For private listening, connect standard 3.5mm headphones to the Headphone Jack on the radio. The internal speaker will automatically mute.

6.8 Sleep Timer
The sleep timer allows the radio to automatically turn off after a set period.
- Press the Info/Menu Button to access the menu.
- Use the Navigation Buttons to scroll to "Sleep" and press Enter/Scan.
- Select the desired sleep duration (e.g., 15, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120 minutes) using the Navigation Buttons and confirm with Enter/Scan.
- The radio will turn off automatically after the selected time.

- Always unplug the radio from the power source before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the surfaces of the radio.
