The KVM switch features two 3.5mm Audio Jack ports with a built-in DAC chip, allowing connection to your preferred audio devices for immersive sound.
3. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your TESmart KVM Switch, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Avoid using liquid cleaners or aerosols, which may damage the unit.
- Environment: Place the KVM switch in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive moisture.
- Cable Management: Ensure cables are neatly organized and not excessively bent or strained to prevent damage to the connectors and ports.
- Power: Always use the provided DC 12V power adapter. Disconnect power during electrical storms or when unused for long periods.
4. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your TESmart KVM Switch, please refer to the official Troubleshooting Guide (PDF) for detailed solutions. Below are some general tips:
- No Display/Flickering: Ensure all HDMI cables are securely connected and that your monitors support the output resolution (up to 4K@60Hz). Try restarting the KVM switch and connected devices.
- Keyboard/Mouse Not Responding: Verify that the keyboard and mouse are connected to the dedicated K&M ports. If using a wireless K&M, ensure it uses a 2.4G receiver and is not Bluetooth. Try reconnecting the devices.
- Switching Issues: Confirm you are using the correct hotkey sequence or pressing the correct front panel button. Ensure the IR remote has fresh batteries and a clear line of sight to the IR receiver.
- EDID Issues: The built-in EDID emulators should prevent most display issues. If windows still rearrange, ensure your graphics drivers are up to date.
