2. Safety Information

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, read all instructions before using this appliance.

  • Always plug the fireplace directly into a wall outlet. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap.
  • Ensure the power cord is not pinched or routed under carpets or other coverings.
  • Do not operate the fireplace if the cord or plug is damaged, or if the heater has malfunctioned or been dropped.
  • Keep combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater.
  • This fireplace is equipped with an Automatic Safety Shut-Off feature to prevent overheating. If the heater overheats, it will automatically turn off. Unplug the unit, wait 10 minutes, and then plug it back in.
  • An Anti-Topple Safety Device is included to prevent accidental tipping. Ensure it is properly installed during assembly.
  • The mantel supports up to 30 lbs. A television can be hung above the mantel, but should not be placed directly on it.
