This heated pet bed is ideal for use in sheds, garages, barns, dog houses, cabins, cots, or doorways, making it suitable for stray kittens, feral cats, puppies, outdoor dogs, and other small animals. It comes with a bonus high-quality cover, featuring soft flannel on one side for warmth and waterproof velvet cloth on the bottom for outdoor confidence.

Setup

  1. Unpack the Product: Carefully remove the heated pet bed and its components from the packaging.
  2. Choose a Suitable Location: Place the heated pet bed in a sheltered area, such as a dog house, cabin, cot, or doorway, where your pet frequently rests. Ensure the surface is flat and dry.
  3. Install the Cover (Optional but Recommended): If using the bonus cover, place it over the heated pad. The flannel side should face up for maximum comfort and warmth retention, and the waterproof velvet side should face down.
  4. Position the Cord: Route the power cord safely to a nearby electrical outlet. The cord features a 4.92-foot steel-encased chew guard to prevent damage from chewing. Ensure the cord is not a tripping hazard and is protected from excessive moisture.
  5. Plug In: Connect the power plug to a standard electrical outlet. The pad will begin to heat automatically.

Operating Instructions

  • Automatic Temperature Control: The PETNF heated pet bed is equipped with an auto thermal system that maintains a comfortable and safe temperature range between 100.4℉ (38℃) and 107.6℉ (42℃). No manual temperature adjustment is required.
  • Energy Efficiency: The pad operates at a low power consumption of 35W, making it energy-efficient for continuous use.
  • Optimal Heat Transfer: For best performance and heat transfer, ensure that the heated pad is not filled with large amounts of air. Gently squeeze out excess air to allow the inner pad to be in close contact with the surface, thereby releasing heat effectively.

Maintenance

  • Cover Cleaning: The removable cover is machine washable. For best results, wash the cover separately in cold water on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry on low heat or air dry.
  • Pad Cleaning: The heated pad itself is IP67 waterproof. To clean the pad, unplug it from the power source and wipe it down with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not immerse the pad in water. Ensure the pad is completely dry before plugging it back in.
  • Storage: When not in use, unplug the pad and store it in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

  • Pad Not Heating:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
    • Check if the outlet is receiving power by testing it with another appliance.
    • Verify that the pad is not excessively inflated with air, as this can hinder heat transfer. Gently press out any trapped air.
  • Pad Too Hot/Cold:
    • The pad is designed to maintain an automatic temperature between 100.4℉ and 107.6℉. This range is optimal for pet comfort and safety. If the temperature feels significantly outside this range, unplug the unit and contact customer support.
    • Ensure the pad is placed in a sheltered area, especially outdoors, to prevent extreme ambient temperatures from affecting its performance.
  • Chew Guard Damage:
    • While the cord has a chew guard, continuous aggressive chewing can still cause damage. Inspect the cord regularly for any signs of wear or damage. If damaged, discontinue use immediately and replace the product.

Safety Warnings:

  • Do not immerse the heated pad in water.
  • Do not puncture or cut the heated pad.
  • Do not modify the power cord or plug.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Always supervise pets, especially during initial use.
