2. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to properly set up your hygger Fish Aquarium LED Light:
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove the LED light, extendable brackets, and power adapter from the packaging.
- Attach Brackets: Slide the extendable bending brackets onto both ends of the LED light bar. Ensure they are securely attached.
- Position on Tank: Place the LED light with attached brackets onto the edges of your aquarium. Adjust the length of the brackets to fit your tank size (12-18 inches). The light should rest securely on the tank's rim.
- Connect Power: Connect the power adapter to the inline controller, and then plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet. Ensure all connections are firm.
- Initial Power On: The light will typically turn on in its default 24/7 Natural Mode upon first power-up.
Note: This light is designed to sit directly on the tank rim. If your aquarium has an existing lid, it may need to be removed or adjusted to accommodate the light.
3. Operating Instructions
Your hygger LED light offers two primary operating modes: 24/7 Natural Mode and DIY Mode, controlled via the inline controller.
3.1. 24/7 Natural Mode (Default)
This mode simulates a natural day-night cycle, providing optimal lighting for your aquatic life. The light transitions automatically through different colors and intensities throughout a 24-hour period.
- 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM: Gradient Orange light (simulating sunrise).
- 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM: Gradient White light (simulating daylight).
- 6:00 PM - 10:50 PM: Gradient Blue light (simulating moonlight).
- Other Times: Lights are off.
The 6-time points on the controller serve as a reference for the initial running time setting. The overall default time period can be delayed or advanced based on when you first activate this mode.

The light features a power-off memory function, meaning your last selected mode and settings (except for the start time in 24/7 mode, which defaults to 6 AM) will be retained when power is restored.
4. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your hygger LED light.
- Cleaning: The lamp beads are waterproof, making the light easy to clean and wipe. Use a soft, damp cloth to gently clean the light bar. Ensure the power is disconnected before cleaning.
- Water Exposure: The lamp beads are designed to be waterproof. There is no need to worry if the light briefly falls into the water during maintenance, but prolonged submersion is not recommended for the entire unit.
- Adapter Care: The adapter is separable. If it becomes damaged, it can be replaced independently, avoiding the need to replace the entire light unit.
