4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. Open the camera housing by unlatching the side clips.
  2. Locate the battery compartment.

4.2 SD Card Installation

  1. Ensure the camera is powered off.
  2. Locate the SD card slot, typically on the side or bottom of the camera.
  3. Insert a Class 10 or higher SD card (up to 32GB recommended) into the slot until it clicks into place.
  4. To remove, push the card in gently until it springs out.

4.3 Mounting the Camera

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

  • To power on, slide the mode switch from OFF to TEST or ON.
  • To power off, slide the mode switch to OFF.

5.2 Mode Selection

The camera has three modes: OFF, TEST, and ON.

  • OFF: The camera is powered off.
  • TEST: Allows you to adjust camera settings, view photos/videos, and manually trigger captures. The LCD screen is active in this mode.
  • ON: The camera is in active monitoring mode. The LCD screen will turn off after a few seconds, and the camera will capture photos/videos automatically when motion is detected.

5.3 Menu Navigation and Settings

In TEST mode, use the control buttons (MENU, UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, OK) to navigate the settings menu on the 2.0-inch LCD screen.

  • MENU: Enters/exits the menu.
  • UP/DOWN: Navigates through menu options.
  • LEFT/RIGHT: Changes values for selected options.
  • OK: Confirms selection.

Key settings to configure include:

  • Mode: Select Photo, Video, or Photo+Video.
  • Photo Resolution: Choose between 20MP, 16MP, or 12MP.
  • Video Resolution: Choose between 1080P or 720P.
  • PIR Sensitivity: Adjust motion sensor sensitivity (Low, Medium, High).

5.5 Playback

In TEST mode, press the PLAY button to enter playback mode. Use the UP/DOWN buttons to browse through captured photos and videos. Press OK to play a video. Press PLAY again to exit playback mode.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Management

  • Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the screen.

6.2 SD Card Care

  • Format the SD card regularly (e.g., monthly) using the camera's menu function to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption.
