Maintenance
1. Daily Cleaning
- After each use, discard any used coffee grounds or pods.
- Wash the carafe, pod holder, reusable filter, and water reservoir in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. These parts are not dishwasher safe.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth.
2. Descaling (Monthly or as needed)
Mineral deposits from water can build up in your coffee maker and affect its performance. Descale your brewer regularly:
- Prepare Solution: Fill the water reservoir with 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts cold water.
- Run Cycle: Place the empty carafe on the warming plate. Run a full carafe brewing cycle with the vinegar solution.
- Rinse Cycles: After the vinegar solution has brewed, run 2-3 full carafe brewing cycles with fresh, cold water to rinse out any remaining vinegar.
