Electrical specifications such as "INPUT 12Vdc" and "CONTACT RATING: OUTPUT 200-250Vac 50/60Hz SINGLE POLE. SINGLE THROW 16Amp 250Vac 50/60Hz" are clearly visible, along with the CE certification mark and the model number "TM-619-4".
Installation and Setup
1. Wiring Connections
Refer to Figure 3 for the wiring diagram on the back of the unit. Ensure all connections are made securely and according to local electrical codes. The TM619-4 model requires a 12VDC input. Connect the power supply to the designated input terminals. Connect the load (e.g., light, fan) to the output terminals, ensuring the load's voltage and current ratings do not exceed the timer's specifications (16A, 3500W max).
2. Initial Power-Up and Reset
Upon initial power-up or after a prolonged period of no power, the LCD may be blank or display erratic characters. Press the R (Reset) button, typically located near the "OFF" indicator (refer to Figure 1), using a non-metallic pointed object (e.g., a toothpick). This will clear all settings and reset the timer to its default state.
3. Setting Current Time and Day
- Press the CLOCK button and hold it.
- While holding CLOCK, press the DAY button repeatedly until the correct day of the week is displayed.
- While holding CLOCK, press the HOUR button repeatedly until the correct hour (AM/PM) is displayed.
- While holding CLOCK, press the MIN button repeatedly until the correct minute is displayed.
- Release the CLOCK button. The current time and day are now set.
Operating Instructions
1. Programming ON/OFF Times
The TM619 allows for up to 16 ON/OFF programs. Follow these steps to set your desired schedules:
- Press the TIMER button once. The display will show "1 ON" and the time will flash.
- Press DAY to select the day(s) for this "ON" program. Options include individual days (MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU), weekdays (MO TU WE TH FR), weekends (SA SU), or all days (MO TU WE TH FR SA SU), among others.
- Press HOUR to set the desired hour for the "ON" time.
- Press MIN to set the desired minute for the "ON" time.
- Press TIMER again. The display will show "1 OFF" and the time will flash.
- Repeat steps 2-4 to set the day(s), hour, and minute for the "OFF" time for program 1.
- Continue pressing TIMER to cycle through "2 ON", "2 OFF", up to "16 ON", "16 OFF", setting each program as needed. If you do not need all 16 programs, simply press CLOCK to exit programming mode.
- After setting all desired programs, press the CLOCK button to save the settings and return to the current time display.
2. Manual Override
The MANUAL button (refer to Figure 1) allows you to override the programmed settings temporarily or permanently. Pressing MANUAL cycles through three modes:
- ON: The output is continuously ON, overriding any programmed OFF times.
- AUTO: The timer operates according to the programmed ON/OFF schedules. This is the default and recommended mode for automatic operation.
- OFF: The output is continuously OFF, overriding any programmed ON times.
Ensure the timer is set to AUTO mode for the programmed schedules to function.
Maintenance
The SINOTIMER TM619 is designed for low maintenance. Keep the unit clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the dust-proof cover is properly seated for optimal protection. Periodically check wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear.
Troubleshooting
- Display is blank or erratic:
- Ensure the unit is receiving 12VDC power. Check power supply connections.
- Press the R (Reset) button with a pointed object.
- Timer not switching ON/OFF as programmed:
- Check if the timer is in AUTO mode. Press MANUAL until "AUTO" is displayed.
- Verify that the current time and day are set correctly.
- Recheck your programmed ON/OFF times for accuracy, ensuring the ON time precedes the OFF time for each program.
- Ensure the load connected does not exceed the maximum capacity (16A, 3500W).
- Time drift:
- A small amount of time drift (hysteresis) is normal (2 seconds/day). If significant drift occurs, ensure stable power supply.
