Setup

1. Placement

Place the sound bar on a stable, flat surface in front of your TV, ensuring it does not block the TV's remote sensor. Alternatively, you can wall-mount the sound bar using the provided wall mount kit. Refer to the wall mounting instructions included with the kit for detailed steps.

2. Power Connection

  1. Connect the power adapter to the DC IN port on the back of the sound bar.
  2. Plug the other end of the power adapter into a wall outlet.
  3. The sound bar will enter standby mode, indicated by a red LED light.

Connecting to Audio Sources

1. Optical Connection (Recommended for best audio quality)

  1. Remove the protective caps from both ends of the optical cable.
  2. Connect one end of the optical cable to the OPTICAL OUT port on your TV.
  3. Connect the other end to the OPTICAL IN port on the sound bar.
  4. On your TV's audio settings, select "Optical" or "External Speaker" as the audio output.
  5. Press the OPT button on the remote control or the sound bar's touch panel to select Optical input.

2. HDMI ARC Connection (If your TV supports HDMI ARC)

  1. Connect an HDMI cable (not included) from the HDMI ARC port on your TV to the HDMI ARC port on the sound bar.
  2. On your TV's audio settings, enable "HDMI ARC" and select "External Speaker" as the audio output.
  3. Press the HDMI button on the remote control or the sound bar's touch panel to select HDMI ARC input.

3. Bluetooth Connection

  1. Power on the sound bar.
  2. Press the BT button on the remote control or the sound bar's touch panel to select Bluetooth mode. The LED indicator will flash blue.
  3. On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  4. Select "VMAI S4" from the list. Once paired, the LED indicator will turn solid blue.
  5. You can now stream audio wirelessly from your device to the sound bar.

4. AUX Connection

  1. Connect one end of the 3.5mm AUX cable to the AUX OUT port on your device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player).
  2. Connect the other end to the AUX IN port on the sound bar.
  3. Press the AUX button on the remote control or the sound bar's touch panel to select AUX input.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

Press the POWER button on the remote control or the sound bar's touch panel to turn the unit on or off.

Volume Control

Use the VOL+ and VOL- buttons on the remote control or the sound bar to adjust the volume. Press MUTE to temporarily silence the audio.

Input Selection

Press the INPUT button on the remote control or the sound bar's touch panel repeatedly to cycle through available input sources (Optical, HDMI ARC, Bluetooth, AUX).

Sound Modes

Press the dedicated sound mode buttons on the remote control (e.g., MOVIE, MUSIC, NEWS) to select an optimized audio profile for your content.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surface of the sound bar. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: If storing the sound bar for an extended period, disconnect it from power and store it in a cool, dry place.
  • Avoid Obstructions: Ensure the sound bar's speakers are not obstructed to maintain optimal sound quality.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Solution
No sound from the sound bar.
  • Ensure the sound bar is powered on and not muted.
  • Verify the correct input source is selected on the sound bar.
  • Check all cable connections (Optical, HDMI, AUX) are secure.
  • Adjust the volume on both the sound bar and your TV/device.
  • On your TV's audio settings, ensure "External Speaker" or the correct digital output is selected.
Distorted or poor sound quality.
  • Check cable connections for damage or looseness.
  • Try a different audio source or cable.
  • Adjust the volume to prevent clipping.
  • Ensure no objects are blocking the sound bar's speakers.
Remote control not working.
  • Replace the batteries in the remote control.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the sound bar.
  • Point the remote directly at the sound bar's remote sensor.
Bluetooth pairing issues.
  • Ensure the sound bar is in Bluetooth pairing mode (flashing blue LED).
  • Disable and re-enable Bluetooth on your device.
