Before First Use

Before using your Homecraft Iced Coffee and Tea Maker for the first time, wash the pitcher, lid, and removable filter basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.

  2. Ensure the 3-Quart Pitcher is correctly positioned on the base.
  3. Open the lid of the water reservoir located on the side of the main unit. Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water up to the desired fill line indicated on the pitcher (either "Water" or "Ice" line, depending on whether you will add ice to the pitcher).
  4. Place the removable filter basket into its designated slot under the shower head.
  5. Add your desired amount of fresh ground coffee, loose-leaf tea, or tea bags into the removable filter basket. Refer to the "Operating Instructions" for recommended quantities.

Brewing Iced Tea or Coffee

  1. Follow steps 1-5 in the "Setup" section.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your appliance.

  1. Always unplug the unit from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove the 3-Quart Pitcher, lid, and removable filter basket. Wash these parts in warm, soapy water. They are also top-rack dishwasher safe.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp, non-abrasive cloth. Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  4. NEVER immerse the main unit, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
  5. For optimal performance, periodically descale the unit by running a cycle with a mixture of water and white vinegar (1:1 ratio) through the machine without any tea or coffee. Follow with two cycles of plain water to rinse.
