Assembly Instructions
Assembly is designed to be straightforward. It is recommended to assemble the bed frame with two people. Please follow these steps:
- Unpack and Identify Parts: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Lay them out on a clean, soft surface (like a carpet) to prevent scratches. Identify each part using the provided diagram in your hardware pack.
- Attach Side Rails to Headboard: Align the pre-drilled holes on the side rails with the corresponding holes on the headboard. Insert the appropriate bolts and tighten them securely with the provided wrench. Do not overtighten initially.
- Attach Side Rails to Footboard: Repeat the process from Step 2, connecting the other end of the side rails to the footboard. Ensure all connections are snug.
- Install Center Support Leg (if applicable): If your model includes a center support leg, attach it to the central beam or slat support as indicated in your specific hardware instructions.
- Place and Secure Slats: Position the ten wood slats evenly across the side rails. The slats provide direct support for your mattress. Secure each slat to the side rails using the provided screws. Note: There are no pre-marked positions for slats; measure and space them evenly for optimal support.
- Final Tightening: Once all parts are assembled, go back and firmly tighten all bolts and screws. Ensure the frame is stable and level.

Operating Instructions
This platform bed frame is designed to support a twin-sized mattress directly, eliminating the need for a box spring. Place your mattress directly onto the secured wooden slats.
- Ensure the mattress is centered on the frame.
- Do not jump on the bed or exceed the stated weight capacity of 200 lbs.
- Periodically check all connections to ensure they remain tight and secure.
Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your bed frame:
- Cleaning: Wipe the wood surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the finish.
- Hardware Check: Every 3-6 months, inspect all bolts and screws. Re-tighten any loose hardware to maintain stability and prevent squeaking.
- Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause wood to fade or crack.
- Humidity Control: Maintain a stable humidity level in the room to prevent wood from expanding or contracting excessively.
Troubleshooting
- Issue: Bed frame is squeaking.
- Solution: Squeaking often indicates loose connections. Re-tighten all bolts and screws on the headboard, footboard, side rails, and slat supports. Ensure slats are securely fastened.
- Issue: Bed frame feels unstable or wobbly.
- Solution: Review the assembly instructions to ensure all parts are correctly aligned and all hardware is fully tightened. Check if the bed is on an even surface. If a center support leg is present, ensure it is properly installed and making contact with the floor.
- Issue: Missing or damaged parts.
- Solution: Do not attempt to assemble with missing or damaged parts. Contact Bellemave customer service immediately for assistance.
