Setup and First Use

Unpacking:

  1. Carefully remove the air fryer oven and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Remove any protective film or stickers from the appliance.
  3. Check that all components are present: 1 x Air Fryer Oven, 1 x Wire Rack, 1 x Enameled Baking Tray, 1 x Air Fry Basket Tray.

The Mayer MMAO24 features three main control knobs:

Cooking Functions:

The Function knob allows you to choose from the following cooking modes:

General Operation:

  1. Place food on the appropriate accessory (wire rack, baking tray, or air fry basket).
  2. Slide the accessory into the desired rack position inside the oven.
  3. Close the double glass door securely.
  4. Turn the Function Knob to select your desired cooking mode.
  5. Turn the Temperature Knob to set the desired cooking temperature (up to 230°C).
  6. Turn the Timer Knob clockwise to set the cooking time (up to 60 minutes). The power indicator light will illuminate. For times less than 20 minutes, turn the knob past 20 and then back to the desired time for accuracy.
  7. The oven will automatically shut off when the timer reaches zero, indicated by an audible bell.
  8. Carefully remove cooked food using oven mitts.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning will help maintain the performance and longevity of your Mayer MMAO24 Air Fryer Oven.

  1. Always unplug the oven from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  3. Interior: Wipe the interior walls with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains, a non-abrasive sponge can be used. Ensure the interior is dry before next use.
  4. Accessories: The wire rack, enameled baking tray, and air fry basket tray can be washed in warm, soapy water. They are also dishwasher safe.
  5. Removable Crumb Tray: Pull out the crumb tray from the bottom of the oven. Empty any crumbs and wash it with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly before reinserting.
  6. Do not use metal scouring pads or sharp objects to clean the interior or accessories, as this may damage the non-stick coating or surfaces.

Troubleshooting

Food is not cooking evenly.Overcrowding; incorrect temperature/time; food placement.Avoid overcrowding the oven. Adjust temperature and time as needed. Ensure food is placed centrally on the rack. Consider using the "Top & Bottom Heat with Fan" function for better circulation.
Excessive smoke from oven.Food residue; fatty foods; initial burn-off.Clean the oven interior and accessories thoroughly. For fatty foods, use the baking tray to catch drips. A small amount of smoke during first use is normal.
Timer not working correctly.Incorrect setting for short times.For times less than 20 minutes, turn the timer knob past 20 minutes first, then back to the desired shorter time.
