Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your weather station:
- Cleaning the Outdoor Sensor: Periodically inspect and clean the outdoor sensor, especially the rain gauge and anemometer, to remove debris, leaves, or insects that may obstruct readings. The wide-mouth collection container of the rain gauge is designed for easy cleaning.
- Battery Replacement: The outdoor sensor batteries typically last about one year. Replace them annually or when the low battery indicator appears on the display. The display unit has optional battery backup for power outages.
- Display Unit Care: Clean the display screen with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your weather station, try the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Data on Display: Ensure the outdoor sensor batteries are fresh and correctly installed. Check that the display unit is powered on and within range of the outdoor sensor (up to 330 feet / 100 meters).
- Inaccurate Readings: Verify the outdoor sensor is mounted level and free from obstructions. Ensure it is facing south for accurate wind direction. Clean the rain gauge if rainfall readings are incorrect.
- Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues: Confirm your display unit is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Restart your router and the display unit. Ensure correct Wi-Fi credentials are entered during setup.
- Lightning Detector Not Working: Check the lightning detector module is properly inserted into the outdoor sensor. Ensure there are no major electrical interferences nearby.
