4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Verify that all parts are present: scale base unit, stainless steel platter, and AC adapter.
- Retain packaging materials for future transport or storage.
4.2 Platter Installation
Place the stainless steel weighing platter securely onto the top of the scale base unit. Ensure it sits flat and does not wobble.
4.3 Powering the Scale
The scale can be powered by the included AC adapter or by batteries.
- AC Adapter: Connect the AC adapter to the power input port on the scale and then plug it into a standard electrical outlet.
- Batteries: Open the battery compartment (typically located on the underside of the scale), insert the required batteries (refer to the compartment for battery type and polarity), and close the compartment securely.
4.4 Initial Placement
Place the scale on a firm, level, and stable surface, away from vibrations, drafts, or rapid temperature changes, which can affect accuracy.

5. Operation
5.1 Power On/Off
Press the ON/OFF button to turn the scale on. The display will illuminate and perform a self-test before showing '0.000'. Press the ON/OFF button again to turn the scale off.
5.2 Unit Selection
To change the weighing unit, press the UNIT button. The display will cycle through available units: lb, oz, kg, g, and lb.oz. Select the desired unit for your measurement.
5.3 Zero Function
If the display does not show '0.000' when the platter is empty, press the ZERO button. This will reset the display to zero, ensuring accurate measurements for subsequent items.
5.4 Tare Function
The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so only the net weight of the contents is displayed.
- Place an empty container on the weighing platter. The display will show its weight.
- Press the TARE button. The display will reset to '0.000', indicating the container's weight has been tared out.
- Add the items to be weighed into the container. The display will show only the net weight of the items.
- To clear the tare, remove the container from the platter. The display will show a negative value equal to the container's weight. Press TARE again to return to zero.
5.5 Weighing Procedure
- Ensure the scale is on and displaying '0.000' in the desired unit. Use the ZERO or TARE functions if necessary.
- Gently place the item(s) to be weighed onto the center of the stainless steel platter.
- Wait for the display to stabilize. The stable weight will be shown.
- Remove the item(s) from the platter.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning

- Disconnect the AC adapter before cleaning.
- Remove the stainless steel platter for separate cleaning.

- Dry all surfaces thoroughly before reassembly or use.
6.2 Battery Replacement
