4. Setup Instructions

4.1. Remote Control Battery Installation

The remote control comes with a 12V/23A battery pre-installed. If replacement is needed:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide open the battery cover.
  3. Insert the 12V/23A battery, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly.
  4. Close the battery cover securely.

4.2. Plugging in the Outlets

The Syantek remote control outlets are designed for convenience and space-saving:

  1. Plug the remote control outlet into any standard 3-prong wall socket.
  2. Due to its compact design, it will only occupy one wall socket, leaving the adjacent outlet free for other devices.
  3. Connect your desired appliance (e.g., lamp, fan, coffee maker) into the Syantek remote control outlet.

4.3. Initial Pairing (Pre-programmed)

The Syantek Remote Control Outlets are pre-programmed for immediate use. Each remote control button (1, 2, 3) corresponds to a specific outlet in the kit. Simply plug in the outlets and they are ready to be controlled by the remote.

5.1. Turning Appliances On/Off

5.2. Operating Range

The Syantek Remote Control Outlet system boasts a strong RF signal with a line-of-sight range of up to 100 feet (30 meters). This allows for reliable control even through doors, walls, and windows within your home, without interfering with other electronic devices.

6. Programming and Expansion

The Syantek system is highly flexible, allowing for custom programming to suit your needs:

6.1. Controlling Multiple Outlets with One Remote Button

To program a single remote button to control multiple outlets:

  1. Plug in the outlet you wish to program.
  2. Press and hold the small program button on the side of the outlet until the indicator light begins to flash.
  3. While the light is flashing, press the desired ON or OFF button on your remote control (e.g., button 1 ON). The outlet's indicator light will stop flashing, confirming successful pairing.
  4. Repeat for other outlets you want to control with the same remote button.

6.2. Controlling One Outlet with Multiple Remotes

To allow multiple remote controls to operate the same outlet:

  1. Ensure the outlet is plugged in.
  2. Press and hold the program button on the side of the outlet until the indicator light begins to flash.
  3. Take the second remote control and press the desired ON or OFF button (e.g., button 1 ON). The outlet's indicator light will stop flashing, confirming successful pairing with the second remote.
  4. Repeat for any additional remotes.
