Important Safety Instructions

• Read all instructions before use.
• Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.

Setup and First Use

Before using your coffee maker for the first time, follow these steps:

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the appliance for any damage.
2. Clean: Wash the reusable filter, carafe, and lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth.
3. Assemble: Place the reusable filter into the filter basket. Ensure the carafe is securely attached to the bottom of the main unit.
4. Rinse Cycle: For the first use, perform a rinse cycle without coffee. Fill the water tank to the maximum level, close the lid, and run a brewing cycle. Discard the hot water. This cleans the internal components.
5. Power Connection: Connect the AC adapter to the appliance and then plug it into a suitable power outlet.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to brew coffee using your BRUNO Electric Coffee Maker with Mill:

1. Add Coffee Beans

• Open the lid of the bean hopper.
• Add whole coffee beans to the hopper. Do not overfill. The capacity is suitable for a single serving (approximately 10-15g of beans).
• Close the lid securely.

2. Adjust Grind Size

• Locate the grind adjustment dial on the body of the appliance.
• Rotate the dial to select your desired grind size. Finer grinds are suitable for espresso-like coffee, while coarser grinds are better for drip coffee. Refer to the markings on the dial for guidance.

3. Add Water

• Remove the lid and carefully pour fresh, cold water into the water tank.
• Do not exceed the maximum fill line (200 ml capacity).
• Replace the lid securely.

4. Start Brewing

• Ensure the carafe is properly seated.
• Press the power button on the control panel to start the grinding and brewing process. The indicator lights will illuminate.
• The appliance will first grind the beans, then automatically proceed to brew the coffee.
• Once brewing is complete, the appliance will automatically shut off.

5. Serve

• Carefully remove the carafe and enjoy your freshly brewed coffee.
• Be cautious as the coffee and carafe will be hot.

Care and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your coffee maker.

• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
• Carafe and Filter: After each use, remove the carafe and reusable filter. Wash them with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Allow them to air dry completely before reassembling.
• Grinding Mechanism: Use a small brush (not included) to remove any residual coffee grounds from the grinding mechanism. Do not rinse the grinding mechanism with water.
• Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
• Water Tank: The water tank is integrated. To clean, wipe the interior with a damp cloth. For descaling, refer to the descaling section below.
• Storage: When not in use for an extended period, ensure the appliance is clean and dry. Store it in a cool, dry place.

Descaling

Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up in the water tank and internal components, affecting performance. Descale your coffee maker every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.

1. Prepare a descaling solution according to the manufacturer's instructions (e.g., white vinegar diluted with water, or a commercial descaling agent).
2. Pour the descaling solution into the water tank.
3. Place an empty carafe under the dispenser.
4. Run a brewing cycle without coffee.
5. After the cycle, discard the solution.
6. Run 2-3 cycles with fresh, clean water to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.
