  3. Power On: Connect the power adapter to the "External Power Supply" port (7) on the rear of the extender and plug it into a power outlet. The Power On/Off Status LED (3) should illuminate.
  4. Connect to Existing Network (WPS Method):
    • Press the WPS button (4) on your AirTies Air 4930 extender.
    • Within two minutes, press the WPS button on your main Wi-Fi router.
    • Wait for the Wireless 5 GHz (1) and 2.4 GHz (2) Status LEDs on the extender to turn solid green, indicating a successful connection.
  5. Connect to Existing Network (Manual Method - if WPS fails):
    • Connect a computer or mobile device to the extender's default Wi-Fi network (SSID and password usually found on a label on the device or in a quick start guide).
    • Open a web browser and navigate to the extender's default IP address (e.g., 192.168.1.1 or airties.local).
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the extender to your main Wi-Fi network.
  6. Verify Connection: Once connected, the Wireless 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz Status LEDs should be solid green. You can now connect your wireless devices to the extended network.

Operating Instructions

  • Connecting Devices: Once the extender is set up, your wireless devices (laptops, smartphones, tablets) will automatically connect to the strongest available Wi-Fi signal, whether from your main router or the extender, ensuring seamless roaming.
  • Wired Connections: Use the 2 Gigabit Ethernet Ports (5) on the rear of the extender to connect wired devices such as smart TVs, gaming consoles, or desktop computers for a stable, high-speed connection.
  • LED Indicators: Monitor the status LEDs (1, 2, 3) to quickly assess the operational status of your extender. Solid green typically indicates a healthy connection, while blinking or different colors may indicate issues (refer to troubleshooting for details).

Maintenance

  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the AirTies support website for firmware updates. Keeping your device's firmware up-to-date ensures optimal performance, security, and access to new features.
  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the exterior of the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials. Ensure ventilation openings are clear of dust.
  • Restarting: If you experience network issues, try restarting the extender by pressing the Power On/Off Button (6) or by unplugging and replugging the power adapter.
  • Reset to Factory Defaults: If persistent issues occur, you may need to reset the device to its factory settings using the Reset Button (8). This will erase all custom configurations. Refer to the troubleshooting section for details.

Troubleshooting

No Power / Power LED Off:
Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to the extender and a working power outlet. Try a different outlet if necessary.
No Internet Connection:
Check if your main router has internet access. Verify that the extender is properly connected to your main router (check Wireless Status LEDs). Restart both the router and the extender.
Poor Wi-Fi Signal or Slow Speeds:
Relocate the extender to a more central position, away from obstructions and interference sources. Ensure the extender is not too far from your main router. Check for firmware updates.
WPS Connection Fails:
Ensure both WPS buttons are pressed within the two-minute window. Try the manual setup method via the web interface.
Resetting to Factory Defaults:
With the device powered on, use a paperclip or similar pointed object to press and hold the Reset Button (8) for approximately 10-15 seconds until the LEDs flash. Release the button, and the device will restart with factory settings. You will need to reconfigure it.
