1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the SteamOne SN20GW Portable Garment Steamer. This powerful and compact device is designed to quickly and efficiently remove wrinkles from your garments, providing professional results at home or on the go. Please read this manual carefully before first use to ensure safe and optimal operation.

Important Safety Instructions

  • Always unplug the steamer from the electrical outlet immediately after use and before cleaning.
  • Do not immerse the steamer in water or other liquids.
  • Use only distilled or demineralized water to prevent mineral buildup.
  • Keep the steamer away from children and pets.
  • Do not direct steam at people, animals, or electrical appliances.
  • Ensure the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to your local mains voltage.
  • Do not operate the steamer with a damaged cord or plug.
  • Allow the steamer to cool completely before storing.

3. Setup

  1. Fill the Water Tank: Remove the water tank from the steamer. Open the cap and fill the tank with distilled or demineralized water up to the MAX line (140ml). Close the cap securely and reinsert the tank into the steamer until it clicks into place.

  3. Position the Garment: Hang the garment you wish to steam on a hanger. For convenience, use the included suction hanger hook to secure the hanger to a smooth surface.

  5. Plug In: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Press the ON/OFF button. The indicator light will illuminate, and the steamer will begin to heat up.

  3. Heat-up Time: The steamer is ready for use in approximately 45 seconds. The indicator light may change or stop blinking when ready.
  4. Select Steam Mode: The SN20GW features 2 steam modes: Max and Eco. Select the appropriate mode based on your fabric type.
  5. Begin Steaming: Hold the steamer upright and press the steam trigger to release steam. For continuous steam, you can lock the trigger.

  7. Steaming Technique:
    • Hold the fabric taut with one hand and move the steam head slowly over the wrinkles with the other.
    • For delicate fabrics, keep the steam head slightly away from the fabric.
    • For heavier fabrics, press the steam head gently against the fabric.
  8. Power Off: When finished, press the ON/OFF button to turn off the steamer and unplug it from the outlet.

5. Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Ensure the steamer is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior of the steamer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Empty any remaining water from the tank after each use to prevent mineral buildup.
  • Periodically descale the steamer if you notice reduced steam output or mineral residue. Refer to the descaling instructions in the troubleshooting section.

Storage

  • Ensure the water tank is empty and the steamer is dry before storing.
  • Store the steamer in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
  • Keep the power cord neatly wrapped to prevent damage.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Test the outlet with another appliance.
  • Contact customer support if cord/plug is damaged.

Descaling Procedure

To remove mineral buildup and maintain optimal performance:

  1. Unplug the steamer and ensure it is completely cool.
  2. Empty the water tank.
  3. Fill the water tank with a mixture of 50% white vinegar and 50% distilled water.
  4. Plug in the steamer and turn it on. Allow it to heat up.
  5. Once heated, hold the steamer over a sink and press the steam trigger until the tank is empty.
  6. Repeat the process with clean distilled water to rinse out any vinegar residue.
  7. Perform this procedure monthly or as needed, depending on water hardness and frequency of use.
