6. Maintenance

6.1 Lens Cleaning

Use the provided lens cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the projector lens. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.

6.2 Dust Removal

To prevent dust accumulation, keep the projector covered when not in use. For internal dust or black spots on the screen, open the bottom cover and use a cotton swab to carefully clean the internal components.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your WiMiUS S6 projector, refer to the following common solutions:

  • No Image/Poor Focus: Ensure the lens cover is removed. Slowly rotate the focus lens to adjust for a clear picture. Check the projection distance.
  • Image is Trapezoidal: Adjust the keystone correction feature (either via a physical slider or through the projector's menu) to make the image rectangular.
  • No Sound: Check the volume settings on both the projector and the connected device. Ensure external speakers are properly connected or Bluetooth audio is paired correctly.
  • Cannot Play Netflix/Hulu/YouTube Directly from Phone: Due to copyright restrictions, these apps cannot be mirrored directly from mobile devices. Connect a laptop, MacBook, or Fire TV stick via HDMI to view content from these platforms.
  • Black Spots on Screen: This may indicate internal dust. Open the bottom cover of the projector and gently clean the internal components with a cotton swab to remove dust particles.
  • 4K Resolution Not Supported: The projector supports up to 1080P resolution. While it may accept 4K input, it will downscale the content to its native 1080P resolution.
