Setup
- Assemble the Game Board: Connect the 6 puzzle sections of the game board to form the farmyard. Ensure the fence lines and paths align correctly.
- Place Animal Tiles: Distribute the 12 animal tiles face-up onto the designated circular spaces within the fenced area of the game board. Each tile shows a different number of animals (1 to 12).
- Prepare Clover Leaves: Place the 12 clover leaves in a pile next to the game board, within easy reach of all players. These represent the food for the animals.
- Position the Tractor: Place the wooden tractor figure on the starting space of the path, typically indicated by a small tractor symbol or a clear starting point on the board.
- Dice Placement: Keep the dice nearby.

Operating (How to Play)
The objective of Count' em up! is for all players to cooperatively feed all the animal children with clover leaves before the game ends. The game is played in turns.
Game Flow
- Player's Turn: The youngest player starts. On their turn, a player rolls the dice.
- Move the Tractor: The player moves the wooden tractor figure along the path on the game board according to the number of clover symbols shown on the dice. Each clover symbol represents one step.
- Feed the Animals: When the tractor lands on a space next to an animal tile, the player identifies the number of animals on that tile. The players then collectively take that many clover leaves from the pile and place them onto the animal tile, effectively 'feeding' the animals.
- Cooperative Play: All players work together. If a player lands on a space next to an animal tile that has already been fed, they simply move to the next available animal tile or continue their turn as per the dice roll.
- Game End: The game ends when all 12 animal tiles have been fed with their corresponding number of clover leaves. If all animals are fed, all players win together!
