TUXING TXESB042 High Pressure Air Compressor User Manual

Model: TXESB042

Brand: TUXING

1. Introduction

This user manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, setup, and maintenance of your TUXING TXESB042 High Pressure Air Compressor. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the compressor to ensure proper use and to prevent injury or damage.

2. Safety Information

Your TUXING TXESB042 compressor operates at extremely high pressures. Failure to follow safety guidelines can result in serious injury or death. Always prioritize safety.

  • High Pressure Hazard: Never point the air outlet at yourself or others. Ensure all connections are secure before operation.
  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the power supply matches the compressor's requirements (110V/60HZ). Use a dedicated circuit with appropriate amperage (a 30A breaker is recommended for optimal performance and to prevent tripping). Do not operate with wet hands or in wet conditions.
  • Ventilation: Operate the compressor in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating and accumulation of exhaust gases.
  • Lubrication: Use only ISO grade 100/150 standard lubricating oil. Incorrect oil can damage the compressor and compromise air quality.
  • Filtration: The multi-layer filtration system is crucial for clean air. Regularly check and replace filters as recommended.
  • Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance as outlined in this manual. Do not attempt repairs beyond your technical capability. Contact qualified service personnel for complex issues.

3. Product Overview

The TUXING TXESB042 is a 4-stage, 4-cylinder high-pressure air compressor designed for filling scuba tanks, PCP rifles, and other high-pressure air containers. It features automatic shut-off and fan cooling for efficient and safe operation.

Key Components:

  1. Sewage Valve: For draining condensate.
  2. Oil-Water Separator: Separates oil and water from compressed air.
  3. Pressure Gauge: Displays current pressure.
  4. Air Purifier: Contains filtration elements for air purification.
  5. Safety Valve: Releases pressure if it exceeds safe limits.
  6. Oil Fill Port: Where lubricating oil is added.
  7. Condensate Pipe: Channels drained condensate.
  8. Cooling Fans: Dissipate heat during operation.
  9. Carbon Filter: Part of the multi-layer filtration system.

The compressor incorporates a multi-layer filtration system including an air filter, water-oil separator, and activated carbon molecular sieve filter. This system ensures the compressed air is free from liquid water, oil pollutants, and other impurities, making it suitable for human breathing applications like scuba diving.

Pressure and Filling Capacity:

Figure 3.3: Four-Stage Compression and Filling Performance

The 4-stage compression system allows the compressor to efficiently reach a maximum pressure of 4500 Psi / 300 Bar / 30 MPa. For example, a 6.8L cylinder can be filled to 300 Bar in approximately 21 minutes, and a 12L cylinder to 200 Bar in about 25 minutes.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to prepare your TUXING TXESB042 compressor for first-time use or after transport.

4.1. Initial Inspection and Oil Level Check

Upon receiving the compressor, carefully inspect it for any visible damage. Then, check the oil level using the dipstick. The oil level should be between the two grids on the dipstick. If necessary, add ISO grade 100/150 standard lubricating oil through the oil fill port until the correct level is reached. Ensure the refueling port is securely tightened after inspection.

4.2. Power Connection

Connect the power supply cable to the compressor's power socket and then to a suitable 110V/60HZ power outlet. Ensure the outlet can provide sufficient amperage (a 30A circuit is recommended).

4.3. First-Time Run (Without Load)

For the first use, it is crucial to run the compressor without load for two minutes. This helps to properly lubricate internal components and clear any manufacturing residues.

  1. Open the first stage drain valve and the two-stage release/drain valve. These are typically located at the bottom of the filtration units.
  2. Turn on the power switch (usually a red rocker switch on the motor housing).
  3. Allow the compressor to run for approximately two minutes. You will hear air being released.
  4. After two minutes, turn off the power switch.

4.4. Connecting the Gas Cylinder

Connect the filling hose from the compressor's quick plug-in air outlet to your 6.8L gas cylinder (or other compatible cylinder). Ensure the connection is tight and secure to prevent leaks.

5. Operating Instructions

Once the compressor is set up and the cylinder is connected, you can begin the inflation process.

5.1. Starting Inflation

  1. Ensure both the first stage drain valve and the two-stage release/drain valve are fully tightened.
  2. Slowly open the valve on your gas cylinder.
  3. Turn on the compressor's power switch. The compressor will begin to fill the cylinder.
  4. Monitor the pressure gauge on the compressor. The compressor is designed to automatically shut off once the target pressure (4500 Psi / 300 Bar) is reached.

5.2. Ending Inflation and Disconnection

After the cylinder is full and the compressor has automatically shut off:

  1. Turn off the compressor's power switch.
  2. Close the valve on the gas cylinder.
  3. Slowly open the first stage drain valve and the two-stage release/drain valve to release any residual pressure in the compressor and hose. You will hear a hiss as the pressure is released.
  4. Once the pressure gauge reads zero, you can safely disconnect the filling hose from the gas cylinder.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is essential for the longevity and safe operation of your TUXING TXESB042 compressor.

6.1. Oil Management

  • Check Oil Level: Before each use, check the oil level using the dipstick. Ensure it is within the recommended range.
  • Oil Change: Change the lubricating oil regularly according to the manufacturer's recommendations or after a certain number of operating hours. Use only ISO grade 100/150 standard lubricating oil.

6.2. Filtration System

  • Drain Condensate: After each use, or as needed, open the drain valves to release accumulated water and oil from the water-oil separator and other drain points. This prevents moisture buildup and corrosion.
  • Filter Replacement: The air filter, water-oil separator, and activated carbon molecular sieve filter elements should be inspected and replaced periodically. Refer to the specific instructions for each filter type. Regular replacement ensures optimal air quality and compressor performance.

6.3. General Care

  • Keep the compressor clean and free from dust and debris.
  • Store the compressor in a dry, cool place when not in use.
  • Inspect hoses and connections for wear or damage regularly. Replace any damaged parts immediately.

7. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your TUXING TXESB042 compressor.

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Compressor does not start or trips circuit breaker.Insufficient power supply; loose connection; motor overload.Ensure compressor is connected to a dedicated 110V/60HZ outlet with adequate amperage (30A recommended). Check all power connections. If running for the first time, ensure drain valves are open for the no-load run.
Slow filling or low pressure output.Clogged filters; low oil level; air leaks in connections.Check and replace air filters and carbon filter if clogged. Verify oil level and add if necessary. Inspect all hose connections for leaks and tighten them.
Excessive noise or vibration.Loose components; improper lubrication; internal mechanical issue.Check for any loose bolts or covers and tighten them. Verify oil level and quality. If the issue persists, discontinue use and contact customer support.
Air contains moisture or oil.Water-oil separator full; clogged filters; incorrect oil type.Regularly drain the water-oil separator. Replace filter elements. Ensure you are using the correct ISO grade 100/150 lubricating oil.
Compressor overheats.Poor ventilation; prolonged continuous operation; clogged cooling fins.Ensure adequate airflow around the compressor. Avoid continuous operation beyond recommended duty cycles. Clean cooling fins and fan areas.
