2. Safety Information
- Read all instructions before using this fireplace.
- This fireplace is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains, at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the fireplace.
- Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the fireplace is left operating and unattended.
- Do not operate any fireplace with a damaged cord or plug or after the fireplace malfunctions, has been dropped, or damaged in any manner.
- Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
- To disconnect the fireplace, turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet.
- Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the fireplace.
- Always plug fireplaces directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
- This fireplace is safe for use in North America and includes a safety thermal cut-off device to ensure safe operation.

4. Installation
This electric fireplace offers versatile installation options: it can be recessed into a wall or wall-mounted. Choose the method that best suits your space.

4.1. Recessed Installation
For recessed installation, a wall opening must be prepared according to the specified dimensions. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the unit for ventilation.

- Insert the fireplace into the prepared opening.
- Secure the fireplace using the provided screw kits, ensuring it is flush with the wall.
4.2. Wall Mounted Installation
For wall-mounted installation, use the provided metal bracket to secure the fireplace to a sturdy wall.
- Locate a suitable wall stud for mounting the metal bracket.
- Attach the metal bracket to the wall using the provided screws, ensuring it is level and securely fastened.
- Carefully lift the fireplace and hook it onto the metal bracket.
- Secure the bottom of the fireplace to the wall, if necessary, to prevent movement.
4.3. Electrical Connection
This electric fireplace is designed for simple plug-and-play operation. No hardwiring is involved.
- Ensure the power cord is easily accessible after installation.
- Plug the fireplace directly into a standard 120V AC wall outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.
5. Operation
Your PHI VILLA electric fireplace can be operated using either the touch screen controls on the unit or the included remote control.

5.1. Power On/Off
Press the power button on the control panel or remote control to turn the fireplace on or off.
5.2. Flame Color Adjustment
The fireplace features 3 switchable flame color effects.

- The flame effect can be operated independently of the heating function.
5.3. Flame Brightness Control
Adjust the intensity of the flame effect with 6 adjustable brightness levels.

5.4. Temperature Control
The fireplace features a digital temperature adjustment function and a safety thermal cut-off device.
- Set your desired ambient temperature using the temperature control buttons.
- When the room reaches the set temperature, the heater will automatically stop heating.
- If the ambient temperature drops 2°C below the desired setting, the heater will resume heating.
5.5. Timer Function
An 8-hour timer allows for automatic shut-off.
- Activate the timer function to set the fireplace to turn off automatically after up to 8 hours.
5.6. Backlight and Carbon Bed Color
Enhance the ambiance with 10 backlight and 10 carbon bed color options.

- Glass Panel: Clean the glass panel with a soft cloth and glass cleaner. Do not scratch the surface.
- Ventilation: Ensure the air intake and exhaust vents are clear of dust and debris to maintain proper airflow.
- Storage: If storing the fireplace for an extended period, unplug it and store it in a dry, dust-free location.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your fireplace, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
