Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your AWOW Smart Radiator Thermostat Kit, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Thermostat not connecting to WiFi Gateway:
- Ensure the WiFi Gateway is powered on and within range of both your Wi-Fi router (2.4 GHz) and the thermostat.
- Verify that your home Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz. The gateway does not support 5 GHz networks.
- Restart both the gateway and the thermostat (by removing and reinserting batteries).
- Attempt the pairing process again through the Smart Life app.
- Thermostat not controlling radiator temperature effectively:
- Check if the thermostat is securely mounted on the radiator valve and that the correct adapter is used.
- Ensure the batteries are not low. Replace them if necessary.
- Calibrate the thermostat if an option is available in the app or device settings.
- Verify that the valve pin moves freely. A stuck valve pin can prevent proper heating control.
- Voice control not working:
- Confirm that your AWOW devices are successfully linked to your Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant account via the Smart Life app.
- Check your internet connection.
- Ensure you are using the correct voice commands as specified in the app or voice assistant documentation.
- Thermostat display is blank or unresponsive:
- Replace the AA batteries with new ones.
- If the issue persists after battery replacement, contact customer support.
Maintenance
Battery Replacement
When the battery indicator on the thermostat or in the app shows low power, replace the two AA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.
Cleaning
Wipe the thermostat and gateway with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or allow moisture to enter the devices.
