- Easy Installation & IP65 Waterproof: Offers two installation methods (screws or double-sided tape). Constructed from high-strength ABS material with an IP65 waterproof rating, making it heat-resistant and frost-resistant for all-weather durability.
- 3 Optional Lighting Modes: Choose from Normally On (medium light), Dim Light Sensor (dim light, brightens with motion), or High Light Sensor (off, brightens with motion).
5. Setup
5.1 Choosing a Location
Select a location where the solar panel can receive direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours daily. Avoid areas under eaves, trees, or other obstructions that might block sunlight or motion detection.
5.2 Installation Methods
The CLAONER Solar Light offers two convenient installation methods:
- Method 1 (Screws):
- Drill a hole at the desired mounting point.
- Insert the expansion pillar-hinge (if needed for your surface).
- Align the light with the hole and secure it with the provided screw.
- Method 2 (Double-sided Tape):
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly.
- Peel off the protective film from the double-sided tape.
- Firmly press the light onto the desired surface for several seconds.

The image illustrates two ways to mount the solar light. The top left shows the compact size of the light with dimensions (11.2cm/4.4in width, 10.7cm/4.2in height, 5.9cm/2.3in depth, 8.1cm/3.2in sensor height). The top right shows a finger pressing the mode button. The bottom left shows installation with screws into a brick wall. The bottom right shows installation using double-sided adhesive tape on a smooth surface.

This image displays the dimensions of the solar light: 11.2cm (4.4in) width, 10.7cm (4.2in) height, and 5.9cm (2.3in) depth, with the sensor extending 8.1cm (3.2in). It also highlights the IP65 'All Weather Ready' rating, indicating it is waterproof, heat-resistant, and frost-resistant.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Initial Activation
Before first use, ensure the light is charged under direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours.
6.2 Mode Selection
Press the mode button on the front of the light to cycle through the three available lighting modes:
- Mode 1 (Constant On Mode): The light stays on at medium brightness throughout the night.
- Mode 2 (Dim Light Sensor Mode): The light stays on at dim brightness. When motion is detected, it switches to high brightness for approximately 20 seconds. If no motion is detected, it returns to dim light.
- Mode 3 (High Light Sensor Mode): The light remains off. When motion is detected, it switches to high brightness for approximately 20 seconds. If no motion is detected, it turns off.
6.3 Motion Sensor
The enhanced PIR motion inductor detects motion up to 12-20 feet away within a 120° detection angle. Each lighting duration is approximately 20 seconds and can be extended if motion is detected again.
6.4 Automatic Operation
The light automatically charges during the day and activates its selected mode at night or in dark conditions.

This image visually explains the three lighting modes. Mode 1 (Constant On) shows the light maintaining medium brightness. Mode 2 (Dim Light Sensor) shows the light in dim mode, brightening to high when motion is detected, then returning to dim. Mode 3 (High Light Sensor) shows the light off, brightening to high when motion is detected, then turning off. All modes indicate a 120° detect angle.

The image depicts the solar light's energy cycle: 'Charging during the day' with sunlight hitting the solar panel, and 'Automatic lighting in the dark' with the light illuminated at night. It also highlights 'UP TO 22%' efficiency, referring to the solar panel's energy conversion rate.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris. A clean solar panel ensures efficient charging.
- Battery: The integrated rechargeable battery is designed for long-term use. If the light's performance significantly degrades over time, ensure the solar panel is clean and receiving adequate sunlight. Battery replacement is not typically user-serviceable.
- Inspection: Periodically check the mounting to ensure the light remains securely attached.
8. Troubleshooting
- Light does not turn on at night:
- Ensure the solar panel is clean and free from obstructions.
- Verify the light is installed in a location receiving direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours daily.
- Check if the selected mode is appropriate (e.g., Mode 3 will only turn on with motion).
- Allow the light to charge for a full sunny day before first use.
- Light stays dim or only lights for a short period:
- The battery may not be fully charged. Ensure sufficient direct sunlight exposure.
- The ambient temperature might be too low, affecting battery performance.
- Ensure the solar panel is clean.
- Motion sensor is not working:
- Ensure the light is in Mode 2 or Mode 3.
- Verify there are no obstructions blocking the sensor's detection range.
- Test the sensor by walking within its detection area (12-20 feet, 120° angle).
