Setup

1. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge your iGS520. Connect the supplied USB cable to the charging port on the device and to a USB power adapter or computer USB port. The charging indicator on the screen will show charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 2-3 hours.

2. Mounting the Device

Use the included handlebar mount to securely attach the iGS520 to your bicycle's handlebars or stem.

  1. Place the rubber pad on the handlebar/stem to prevent slipping and protect the surface.
  2. Position the mount on top of the rubber pad.
  3. Secure the mount using the provided O-rings or zip ties. Ensure it is tight and stable.
  4. Align the iGS520 with the mount's grooves and twist it clockwise until it clicks into place.

3. Initial Power On and Language Selection

Press and hold the power button (usually on the side or bottom) for a few seconds to turn on the device. Upon first power-on, you may be prompted to select your preferred language. Use the navigation buttons to select and confirm.

4. GPS Signal Acquisition

For accurate speed and distance tracking, the iGS520 requires a GPS signal. Take the device outdoors with a clear view of the sky. The GPS icon on the screen will indicate signal strength. Wait for the icon to become solid, indicating a stable GPS lock.

Operating Instructions

Basic Navigation

Starting a Ride

  1. Ensure the device has a GPS lock.
  2. From the main screen, press the appropriate button (refer to on-screen prompts or quick start guide) to start recording your ride.
  3. The screen will display real-time data such as speed, distance, time, and altitude.

Ending and Saving a Ride

  1. To pause a ride, press the designated pause button.
  2. To end and save a ride, press and hold the pause/stop button. The device will prompt you to save or discard the ride data.
  3. Confirm saving the ride. The data will be stored on the device.

Connecting to Sensors (Optional)

The iGS520 supports connection to external ANT+ and Bluetooth sensors (e.g., heart rate monitors, speed/cadence sensors).

  1. Go to the device's "Settings" menu.
  2. Select "Sensor Pairing" or "Add Sensor".
  3. Activate your sensor (e.g., wear heart rate strap, spin wheel for speed sensor).
  4. The iGS520 will search for available sensors. Select your sensor from the list and confirm pairing.

Data Synchronization

To view and analyze your ride data, synchronize the iGS520 with the iGPSPORT APP on your smartphone.

  1. Download the iGPSPORT APP from your smartphone's app store.
  2. Create an account and log in.
  3. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone and the iGS520.
  4. In the app, follow the instructions to add and connect your iGS520 device.
  5. Once connected, ride data will automatically sync or can be manually synced from the device to the app.

Maintenance

Troubleshooting
