This manual provides detailed instructions to help you set up, operate, and maintain your keyboard, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. The K3 Version 2 is designed for productivity, offering both wireless Bluetooth and wired USB connectivity, a compact 75% layout, and low-profile mechanical switches.

Setup

1. Initial Charging

Before first use, connect the keyboard to a power source using the provided USB-C cable. The charging indicator light will show the charging status. A full charge is recommended for optimal wireless performance.

2. Connecting via Bluetooth

  1. Locate the mode switch on the side of the keyboard and set it to "BT" (Bluetooth).
  2. Press and hold the Fn + 1 key combination for 4 seconds to enter pairing mode. The backlight will flash rapidly.
  3. On your device (computer, tablet, smartphone), enable Bluetooth and search for "Keychron K3".
  4. Select "Keychron K3" to pair. Once connected, the backlight will stop flashing.
  5. To connect to additional devices (up to 3), repeat steps 2-4 using Fn + 2 and Fn + 3.
  6. Switch between paired devices by pressing Fn + 1, Fn + 2, or Fn + 3.

3. Connecting via USB Wired

To use the keyboard in wired mode, set the mode switch to "Cable". Connect the keyboard to your device using the provided USB-C to USB-A cable. The keyboard will automatically be recognized.

4. Operating System Switch

The K3 Version 2 features a switch to toggle between Mac and Windows layouts. Locate the OS switch on the side of the keyboard and select the appropriate operating system for your device. This ensures correct key mapping for multimedia and function keys.
