3. Setup and Installation

Important Safety Information: Installation should only be performed by qualified personnel. Disconnect power to the AC unit before beginning any installation work. Failure to do so may result in electric shock, injury, or damage to the equipment.

  1. Power Disconnection: Ensure the main power supply to the air conditioning unit is completely disconnected at the circuit breaker. Verify with a voltage tester.
  2. Access Existing Control System: Carefully open the outdoor unit casing to gain access to the existing inverter control board. Note the wiring connections before removal. Taking photos of the original setup is highly recommended.
  3. Remove Old System: Disconnect all wires and mounting screws from the old control board and power module. Remove them from the unit.
  4. Install New QD82+ System:
    • Mount the QD82+ Main Control Board and Power Module in the designated locations within the outdoor unit. Ensure they are securely fastened to prevent vibration.
    • Connect the power module to the main control board using the provided communication cable.
    • Connect the compressor, outdoor fan motor, and electronic expansion valve wiring to the appropriate terminals on the QD82+ main control board. Refer to the wiring diagram (if provided with the physical product) or the original unit's service manual for specific terminal identification.
    • Connect the indoor unit communication cable to the designated port on the QD82+ main control board.
    • Install the new display panel and connect its cable to the main board.
    • Connect all temperature sensors to their respective ports.
  5. Secure Wiring: Ensure all connections are firm and properly insulated. Use cable ties to secure wiring and prevent interference with moving parts.
  6. Close Casing: Carefully close and secure the outdoor unit casing.
