Safety Information
Please observe the following safety precautions:
- Keep hands and fingers away from the blade drums during operation and cleaning. Blades are sharp.
- Always use the food pusher to guide food into the drum. Never use your fingers.
- Ensure the suction base is securely locked onto a clean, smooth, non-porous countertop surface before use.
- Do not attempt to grate or slice frozen foods or extremely hard items, as this may damage the blades or unit.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Inspect the unit for any damage before each use. Do not use if any parts are broken or missing.
Setup
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging.
- Clean Before First Use: Wash all parts that will come into contact with food in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Attach Suction Base: Place the main grater unit on a clean, smooth, dry, non-porous countertop. Press down firmly on the unit while engaging the suction lever (if applicable) or twisting the base to activate the suction. Ensure the unit is stable and does not move.
- Insert Blade Drum: Select the desired blade drum (fine, thick, or slicing). Insert the drum into the transparent housing of the grater unit, ensuring it is seated correctly.
- Attach Handle: Secure the turning handle to the spindle of the blade drum. Ensure it clicks or locks into place.
Operating Instructions
- Prepare Food: Cut food items into pieces that fit comfortably into the grater's feeding chute.
- Secure Unit: Ensure the suction base is firmly attached to the countertop.
- Insert Food: Place the prepared food item into the feeding chute.
- Use Food Pusher: Gently press the food pusher down onto the food item.
- Turn Handle: With one hand holding the food pusher, use your other hand to turn the handle clockwise. The food will be grated or sliced and exit through the drum into a bowl placed underneath.

Proper cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity of your Kitchen HQ Speed Grater and Slicer.
- Disassembly: After use, carefully remove the turning handle, blade drum, and food pusher. Release the suction base from the countertop.

- Storage: Store the grater and its components in a clean, dry place.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Kitchen HQ Speed Grater and Slicer, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Unit does not suction to countertop. | Countertop is not clean, smooth, or dry; suction mechanism not fully engaged. | Ensure countertop is clean, dry, and smooth. Press down firmly and engage the suction lever/twist the base completely. |
| Food is not grating/slicing effectively. | Incorrect blade drum for food type; food too hard or soft; insufficient pressure on food pusher. | Select the appropriate blade drum. Ensure food is at the correct consistency (e.g., firm cheese, not overly soft). Apply steady, firm pressure with the food pusher while turning the handle. |
| Handle is difficult to turn. | Food jammed in drum; unit not properly assembled; food item too large or hard. | Disassemble and clear any food blockages. Reassemble the unit ensuring all parts are correctly aligned. Cut food into smaller, manageable pieces. |
