Setup and Assembly

Your BUCKTOOL sander comes partially assembled. Follow these steps for complete setup.

  1. Unpacking:

    Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify all parts are present according to the packing list. Inspect for any shipping damage.

  2. Mounting:

    Secure the sander to a sturdy workbench using appropriate bolts and nuts (not included). The cast aluminum base with rubber feet helps prevent vibrations, but secure mounting is crucial for stability.

  3. Work Table Installation:

    Attach the angle adjustable work table to both the sanding disc and belt sections. Ensure the metal miter gauge is properly seated. The disc work table can adjust from 0 to 45 degrees, and the belt work table can tilt from 0 to 90 degrees for horizontal and vertical sanding.

  4. Dust Port Connection:

    Connect a suitable dust collection system to the dust ports. The aluminum sanding belt dust outlet is designed to prevent melting. The dust port can also be removed to enlarge the work area for polishing long materials.

Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the controls and functions before beginning any sanding task.

Powering On/Off

  • The switch box is conveniently located on the top of the machine.
  • To turn on, press the green "ON" button.
  • To turn off, press the red "OFF" button.

Sanding Belt Operation

  • The 4 x 36-inch belt is suitable for both metal and wood working.
  • The belt work table can be tilted from 0 to 90 degrees for various sanding angles.
  • The driven drum allows for sanding curved work-pieces.
  • For knife sharpening, attach the knife grinding accessories to the belt plate. This accessory can be removed when not in use.

Sanding Disc Operation

  • The 8-inch sanding disc is ideal for precise metal polishing and general sanding.
  • The disc paper features a hook and loop design for easy replacement.
  • The spacious sanding disc work table can be adjusted from 0 to 45 degrees to meet different angle needs.

Direct Drive Motor

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your sander.

  • Cleaning:

    After each use, clean dust and debris from the machine, especially around the belt and disc areas. Use compressed air or a brush. Ensure the machine is unplugged before cleaning.

  • Belt and Disc Replacement:

    Replace worn sanding belts and discs promptly. The disc paper uses a hook and loop design for easy replacement. The belt features a quick replacement design and track control function for simple changes.

  • Belt Tension Adjustment:
