3. Access the system settings via the MENU button. Navigate to the "Senior Mode" option and enable it.

In Senior Mode, only power on/off, volume adjustment, and recalling favorite stations (1-6) are available, preventing accidental setting changes.

Operating Modes

Standard Mode

This is the default operating mode, providing full access to all radio functions, including station search, station lists, settings, alarms, and more. Use the MENU button to navigate through various options.

Senior Mode

Designed for simplicity, Senior Mode restricts functionality to essential operations: power on/off, volume control, and direct access to the 6 preset favorite stations. This mode prevents unintended changes to settings.

Basic Operation

Power On/Off

To turn the radio on or off, press the Power button on the front panel or the remote control. Ensure the main ON/OFF switch on the rear is in the ON position.

Volume Adjustment

Rotate the Volume knob on the front panel clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it. Alternatively, use the volume buttons on the remote control.

Selecting DAB+ Stations

1. Press the MODE button (or navigate via MENU) to select DAB+ mode.
2. Rotate the SCAN/TUNE knob to browse through the available DAB+ stations.
3. Press the OK button to select a station.

Selecting FM Stations

1. Press the MODE button (or navigate via MENU) to select FM mode.
2. Rotate the SCAN/TUNE knob to manually tune to a frequency, or press and hold it to auto-scan for the next available station.

Saving and Recalling Presets

The radio allows you to save up to 60 favorite stations (30 DAB+, 30 FM).

To Save a Preset:

1. Tune to the desired station.
2. Press and hold the PRESET button until "Preset Store" appears on the display.
3. Use the SCAN/TUNE knob to select a preset number (1-60).
4. Press OK to confirm.

To Recall a Preset:

Briefly press the PRESET button. Use the SCAN/TUNE knob to select the desired preset number, then press OK. For presets 1-6, you can also press the corresponding numbered button on the front panel or remote control directly.

Music Streaming (Auxiliary Input)

The DR 865 supports music playback from external devices via its 3.5mm Auxiliary Input.

1. Connect your external audio device (e.g., smartphone, tablet) to the AUX IN port on the rear of the radio using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
