1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of the uxcell 8403A Digital Amplifier Board. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product to ensure correct usage and optimal performance.
The uxcell 8403A is a compact D-class digital amplifier module designed for various DIY audio projects. It features a potentiometer for volume control and delivers 3W + 3W output power.
2. Safety Precautions
- Power Supply: Ensure the power supply voltage is within the rated working voltage of 2.5V to 5V. The limited operating voltage is 5.5V. Exceeding this can damage the module.
- Speaker Connection: Speakers must be connected to the amplifier board before applying power.
- Output Connection: The negative ("-") output terminals of the left and right channels must not be connected together. Doing so will burn out the IC.
- Polarity: Always observe correct polarity when connecting the power supply and speakers.
- Environment: Avoid exposing the board to moisture, extreme temperatures, or static electricity.
- Professional Use: This product is intended for DIY projects and should be handled by individuals with appropriate electronic knowledge.

4. Setup and Connection
Follow these steps to correctly set up and connect your uxcell 8403A Digital Amplifier Board:
- Prepare Speakers: Ensure your speakers have an impedance of 4-8 Ohms and a power rating of 2-8 Watts.
- Connect Speakers: Connect the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of your left speaker to the "Lout+" and "Lout-" terminals on the amplifier board, respectively. Similarly, connect your right speaker to the "Rout+" and "Rout-" terminals.
Important: Do not connect the "Lout-" and "Rout-" terminals together. This will damage the IC.
- Connect Audio Input: Connect your audio source (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player, computer) to the "Input" terminals. Typically, "L" for left channel, "R" for right channel, and "G" for ground.
- Connect Power Supply: Connect a DC power supply (2.5V to 5V) to the "Power +" and "Power -" terminals. A USB power source (e.g., laptop USB port, USB wall adapter) can be used. Ensure correct polarity.
- Verify Connections: Double-check all connections before applying power to prevent damage.

5. Operation
Once all connections are securely made:
- Power On: Apply power to the amplifier board.
- Adjust Volume: Rotate the potentiometer knob to adjust the output volume to your desired level. Start with the volume low and gradually increase it.
- Play Audio: Begin playing audio from your connected source.
The D-class amplifier design provides high power efficiency, approximately 90%, minimizing heat generation compared to A or B class amplifiers.
6. Maintenance
The uxcell 8403A Digital Amplifier Board requires minimal maintenance:
- Cleaning: Keep the board clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry brush or compressed air for cleaning. Do not use liquids.
- Storage: Store the board in a dry, cool environment when not in use.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect connections for any signs of wear or corrosion.
