4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Fan Hub X Installation

The Fan Hub X is essential for controlling multiple fans and their RGB lighting. It connects to your power supply and motherboard for power and ARGB synchronization.

  1. Mount the Fan Hub X in a suitable location within your PC case, ensuring it is accessible for cable management.
  2. Connect the SATA power cable from your power supply to the Fan Hub X.
  3. Connect the 3-pin ARGB cable from the Fan Hub X to a compatible 5V 3-pin ARGB header on your motherboard (e.g., MSI/GIGABYTE +5V D G, ASUS +5V D_LED). Do NOT connect to a 12V 4-pin RGB header.
  4. Connect each 120mm ARGB Case Fan to the 6-pin ports on the Fan Hub X. The Fan Hub X supports up to 6 fans.

4.2 Fan Mounting

Mount the 120mm ARGB Case Fans in your desired locations within the PC case (e.g., front, top, rear, bottom) using the provided screws. Ensure proper airflow direction for optimal cooling.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Remote Control Functions

The included 21-key remote control allows for easy adjustment of fan speed, LED effects, colors, and brightness. There are two types of remote controls; you will receive one of them.

  • LED Switch ON/OFF: Turns the fan lighting on or off.
  • Low / Medium / High Fan Speeds: Adjusts the fan rotation speed.
  • Static Color Options: Selects a single static color for the LEDs.
  • Programmed Lighting Effects: Cycles through various pre-set lighting patterns.
  • Increase/Decrease Brightness: Adjusts the intensity of the LED lighting.
  • Light Change Speed: Modifies the speed of dynamic lighting effects.
  • Rainbow Mode: Activates a multi-color cycling effect.
  • Switch between Motherboard Sync and Remote Control: Hold the M/B button for 3 seconds to toggle between motherboard ARGB control and remote control.

5.2 Fan Speed Control

The remote control allows you to adjust fan speeds to balance cooling performance and noise levels. Choose between Low (500 RPM), Medium (900 RPM), and High (1300 RPM) settings.

5.3 Motherboard ARGB Sync

If your motherboard has a compatible 5V 3-pin ARGB header, you can synchronize the fan lighting with your motherboard's software (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, ASRock Polychrome RGB). Ensure the Fan Hub X is connected to the correct header.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your fans.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the fan blades and frames to remove dust buildup. Use a soft, dry cloth or compressed air. Ensure the PC is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
  • Anti-Vibration Pads: The fans are equipped with 8 anti-vibration rubber pads. Inspect these pads occasionally to ensure they are intact and effectively reducing noise and vibration.
  • Bearing: The self-lubricated hydraulic bearing is designed for long-term, quiet operation. No user lubrication is required.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Fans Not Spinning

  • Ensure the Fan Hub X is correctly connected to the power supply via the SATA cable.
  • Verify that each fan is securely connected to a 6-pin port on the Fan Hub X.
  • Check if the remote control's fan speed setting is not set to off or minimum.

7.2 RGB Lighting Not Working or Incorrect

  • Confirm the Fan Hub X's ARGB cable is connected to a 5V 3-pin ARGB header on the motherboard, not a 12V 4-pin RGB header. Incorrect connection can damage the LEDs.
  • If using motherboard sync, ensure the remote control is switched to M/B sync mode (hold M/B button for 3 seconds).
  • Check your motherboard's ARGB software settings to ensure the lighting is enabled and configured correctly.
  • If using remote control, ensure the remote's battery is functional and the LED switch is ON.

7.3 Excessive Noise or Vibration

  • Ensure all fan mounting screws are tightened properly.
  • Check for any cables or obstructions touching the fan blades.
  • Verify that the anti-vibration pads are correctly positioned and not damaged.
  • Reduce fan speed using the remote control if noise persists.
