2. Programming the Remote Control
The SN-1LC remote control can be programmed using several methods to ensure compatibility with your Sony TV. Please try the methods below until your remote functions correctly.
Method A: Input Code Programming
This method involves entering a specific 3-digit code that corresponds to your Sony TV model.
- Press and hold the MUTE key and POWER key simultaneously for 3 seconds. The LED light on the remote will illuminate, indicating it is ready for code input.
- Enter the 3-digit code for your Sony TV. If the code is correct, the LED light will turn off. If the LED light remains on, the code is incorrect or not supported.
- Test the remote's functions. If it doesn't work properly, try another code from the list.
Example Codes for Sony TVs: 001, 002, 003, 004, 005, 006, 007, 008, 009, 010. (Refer to your TV's manual or manufacturer's website for a comprehensive list of Sony TV codes if these do not work.)

Method B: Learning Function (Copying from Original Remote)
This function allows the SN-1LC remote to learn infrared signals directly from your original Sony TV remote control.
- Press and hold the MUTE key and VOL+ key simultaneously for about 3 seconds. The LED light will illuminate, indicating learning mode. Release the keys.
- Point the original remote control to the SN-1LC remote control, ensuring they are 1-3cm apart and facing each other.
- Press any key on the original remote that you wish to copy. The LED on the SN-1LC remote will flash to confirm reception.
- Immediately press the corresponding key on the SN-1LC remote where you want to store the learned function. The LED will flash twice to confirm successful learning.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 for all desired keys.
- To exit learning mode, press the MUTE key. The LED will turn off.

Method C: One-Button Copy (Learn) Function
This method is for quickly copying a single function, particularly useful if you have two identical remotes or need to copy a specific button.
- Ensure both the original remote and the SN-1LC remote are identical or have similar button layouts for the function you wish to copy.
- Align the head of the control A (original remote) with the head of control B (SN-1LC remote) at a distance of 1-3cm.
- Press and hold the MUTE key and VOL+ key simultaneously on the SN-1LC remote for 3 seconds. The LED will illuminate.
- Press the desired key on the original remote (e.g., VOL+). The LED on the SN-1LC remote will flash to confirm reception.
- Immediately press the corresponding key on the SN-1LC remote where you want to store the learned function. The LED will flash twice to confirm successful learning.
- To exit, press the MUTE key.

KCODE Inquiry (Diagnostic)
This function allows you to check the internal code currently being used by the remote or to verify successful programming by observing LED flashes.
- Press and hold the MUTE key, then press the POWER key. After 2 seconds, the LED will light up. Release both keys.
- Press the number keys [9], [9], [0]. The LED will flash 2 times and then turn off.
- Press the number keys [9], [9], [1]. The LED will flash 3 times and then turn off.
- Continue with [9], [9], [2] through [9], [9], [9] to observe corresponding LED flashes. This can help confirm if the remote is responding to internal commands.
Note: This is primarily a diagnostic feature and not a programming method. If the remote is not responding, ensure batteries are fresh and correctly inserted, and try the programming methods again.
