Setup

Unboxing and Placement:

Carefully remove the Cuisinart AMW-60 from its packaging. Ensure all accessories are present: the main unit, a glass turntable, a metal airfry basket, and a metal bake/drip pan. Place the unit on a stable, level surface. Maintain at least 12 inches of clearance above the cooker and 3 inches around the sides for proper ventilation.

Accessory Installation:

• Glass Turntable: For microwave functions, place the glass turntable on the rotating mechanism inside the oven cavity. The turntable has a diameter of approximately 9.5 inches.
• Airfry Basket and Bake/Drip Pan: For air frying, place the airfry basket directly onto the bake/drip pan. This combination is then placed inside the oven cavity. These metal accessories should NOT be used during microwave-only functions.

Operating Instructions

Control Panel Overview:

The appliance features sleek touchpad controls and a selector dial for setting time, temperature, and power levels. Functions include Microwave, Oven/AirFry, Turntable, Defrost, Stage Cooking, and Combi Cooking. Dedicated presets are available for AirFry (Fries, Wings, Snacks) and Microwave (Popcorn, Potato, Veggie, Beverage, Melt/Soften, Reheat).

Microwave Function:

Select the 'Microwave' function. Use the selector dial to set the desired cooking time and power level (0-10). For convenience, use microwave presets for common items like popcorn, potatoes, or beverages. The defrost function allows defrosting by time or weight.

Example: Melting Butter

To melt butter, place a half stick of butter cut into tablespoons in a microwave-safe bowl. Select the 'Melt/Soften' preset. The appliance will melt the butter without excessive popping or mess, typically within one minute.

Air Fry Function:

Select the 'Oven/AirFry' function. Use the selector dial to set the desired temperature (up to 450°F) and cooking time. Place food in the airfry basket, which should be on top of the drip pan. Air fry presets are available for items such as fries, chicken wings, and snacks.

Example: Air Frying Frozen Fries

Place frozen French fries in the airfry basket on the drip pan. Select the 'Fries' preset or manually set the temperature to 450°F and cook for approximately 13 minutes. The fries will be crispy and thoroughly cooked without preheating.

Oven/Bake Function:

For baking, select the 'Oven/AirFry' function and set the desired temperature and time. Use the bake/drip pan for baking items. The convection feature ensures even cooking and browning.

Combi Cooking:

Combi Cooking allows you to combine microwave energy with oven or air fry features for faster and more accurate cooking. This is ideal for dishes requiring both speed and browning/crisping. Stage Cooking allows you to program a sequence of different cooking methods.

Example: Combi Cooking Frozen Burger Patty

A frozen burger patty can be cooked using Combi Cook on 450°F in approximately 7 minutes for a well-done result. This method significantly reduces cooking time compared to traditional methods.

Maintenance & Cleaning

The stainless steel interior of the Cuisinart AMW-60 is designed to resist odors and is easy to clean. After each use, simply wipe down the interior and exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. The glass turntable, airfry basket, and bake/drip pan are removable for thorough cleaning.
