Safety Instructions

Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury.

• Read all instructions carefully before use.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the cord, plugs, or heating unit in water or other liquid.

• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the griddle for any damage.
2. Placement: Place the griddle on a stable, heat-resistant, and dry surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance.
3. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the cooking plate with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. The grease drip tray should also be cleaned.
4. Attach Thermostat: Insert the detachable thermostat control into the designated slot on the griddle until it clicks securely into place.
5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

1. Preheating: Turn the thermostat control to the desired temperature setting (1-5). The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the griddle is heating. Allow 5-10 minutes for the griddle to reach the set temperature. The light will turn off when ready.
2. Cooking: Place food directly onto the preheated cooking surface. The RockStone non-stick coating allows for cooking with minimal to no oil.
3. Temperature Adjustment: Adjust the thermostat as needed during cooking to maintain the desired heat level.
4. Monitoring: Use heat-resistant utensils (plastic or wood) to turn food. Avoid metal utensils that could damage the non-stick coating.
5. Completion: Once cooking is complete, turn the thermostat control to the "OFF" position and unplug the griddle from the outlet.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your griddle.

1. Cool Down: Always allow the griddle to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Remove Thermostat: Detach the thermostat control unit. This unit is NOT dishwasher safe and should never be immersed in water. Wipe it with a damp cloth if necessary.
3. Remove Cooking Plate: The cooking plate is fully removable for easy cleaning.
4. Clean Cooking Plate: The cooking plate is dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash it by hand with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
5. Clean Grease Drip Tray: Empty and clean the grease drip tray after each use. It is also dishwasher safe.
6. Clean Body: Wipe the stainless steel body with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
7. Storage: Store the clean and dry griddle in a safe place.
