Installation Guide

Follow these steps carefully for a secure and stable installation. It is highly recommended to have a second person assist during certain steps, especially when mounting the TV.

Step 1: Attach Adapters to TV

Connect the VESA adapters to the rear side of your TV using the appropriate screws from the hardware kit. Ensure the adapters are securely fastened and aligned with your TV's VESA pattern. The patented ball and socket mechanism allows the four adapters to move in two dimensions, accommodating various screen types including flat, curved, and those with unique back structures.

Step 2: Install the Wall Bracket

Determine the optimal mounting location on your wall. This mount is compatible with drywall with wood studs, concrete blocks, and concrete walls. It is NOT suitable for drywall/gypsum/plaster without wood studs.

  • Use a stud finder to locate the center of a wood stud if mounting on drywall.
  • Mark the drilling points using the provided template or by holding the wall plate against the wall and marking through the holes.
  • Drill pilot holes according to the recommended drill bit size for your wall type (refer to "Tools Required" section).
  • Securely attach the wall bracket to the wall using the Barkan wall screws and anchors from the hardware kit. Ensure it is level before fully tightening.

Operating and Adjusting Your Mount

Your Barkan Full Motion TV Wall Mount offers extensive adjustability for optimal viewing angles:

  • Tilt: Adjust the screen from -5° (downward) to +15° (upward) to reduce glare or achieve a comfortable viewing angle. This is a tool-free adjustment.
  • Swivel: The mount features 3 pivots allowing for significant movement. Swivel the screen connection plate up to 180° to direct the TV towards different areas of the room.
  • Extension: The mount can extend from a minimum distance of 2.8 inches (7 cm) from the wall to a maximum of 30 inches (76 cm), providing flexibility for various viewing positions and corner installations.
  • Leveling: Fine-tune the screen's horizontal alignment with a ±5° leveling adjustment.
  • Cable Management: Utilize the integrated cable management features to route and conceal cables for a neat appearance.

To adjust, gently push or pull the TV to the desired angle. The mount is designed for smooth movement. For optimal viewing, ensure your "line of sight" is perpendicular (90°) to the screen.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and safe operation of your Barkan TV wall mount, perform the following maintenance checks periodically:

  • Check Connections: Regularly inspect all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Over time, vibrations or frequent adjustments may cause them to loosen.
  • Clean Surfaces: Wipe down the mount with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
  • Inspect for Damage: Periodically check the mount for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage. If any damage is observed, discontinue use and contact customer support.
  • Lubrication: The articulating arms are designed for smooth movement. If you notice stiffness, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the pivot points, avoiding contact with electrical components.
