Introduction

Setup

1. Charging Your Earbuds and Case

Before initial use, ensure both your earbuds and the charging case are fully charged. The Indy Fuel case supports both USB-C cable charging and wireless charging.

• Via USB-C Cable: Connect the provided USB-C cable to the charging port on the case and plug the other end into a compatible USB power source. The LED indicators on the case will show charging status.
• Via Wireless Charging: Place the charging case on a compatible wireless charging pad. The LED indicators will illuminate to confirm charging.

The earbuds offer up to 30 hours of total battery life with the charging case, and feature Rapid Charge for quick power-ups.

2. Pairing with Your Device

1. Remove both earbuds from the charging case. They will automatically enter pairing mode.
2. On your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), open your Bluetooth settings.
3. Select "Indy Fuel" from the list of available devices. The earbuds' LEDs will turn blue when connected.
4. Confirm the pairing request if prompted.

3. Using Either Bud Solo

The Skullcandy Indy Fuel earbuds allow you to use either the left or right bud independently. Simply remove one earbud from the case, and it will automatically connect to your device. The other earbud can remain in the case or be used later.

Operating Controls

The Indy Fuel earbuds feature full media controls directly on each bud, allowing for intuitive management of your audio and calls.

• Play/Pause: Single tap on either earbud.
• Volume Up: Press and hold the Right earbud.
• Volume Down: Press and hold the Left earbud.
• Track Forward: Double tap the Right earbud.
• Track Back: Double tap the Left earbud.
• Answer/End Call: Single tap on either earbud.
• Activate Voice Assistant: Triple tap on either earbud.

EQ Modes

The earbuds come with 3 Equalizer (EQ) Modes to optimize your listening experience:

• Music Mode: Standard audio profile for general listening.
• Movie Mode: Enhanced dialogue and sound effects for cinematic content.
• Podcast Mode: Optimized for clear vocals, ideal for podcasts and audiobooks.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Skullcandy Indy Fuel earbuds, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Regularly wipe the earbuds and charging case with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For ear tips, remove them and clean with mild soap and water, then dry thoroughly before reattaching.
• Storage: When not in use, always store the earbuds in their charging case to protect them from dust, debris, and physical damage.
• Avoid Extreme Conditions: Do not expose the earbuds or case to extreme temperatures, humidity, or corrosive liquids. While they are IP55 rated for sweat, water, and dust resistance, they are not designed for submersion.
• Charging: Use only the provided charging cable or a certified wireless charger. Avoid using damaged cables or chargers.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Skullcandy Indy Fuel earbuds, try the following solutions:

• Earbud Not Pairing/Connecting:
  1. Ensure both earbuds are removed from the charging case and are in pairing mode (flashing red/blue on the left bud).
  2. Forget/Remove "Indy Fuel" from your device's Bluetooth settings.
  3. Place both earbuds back into the charging case, close the lid for a few seconds, then open it again.
  4. Repeat the pairing process.
• One Earbud Not Working:
  1. Place both earbuds back into the charging case and ensure they are properly seated and charging (red light).
  2. Remove them from the case simultaneously. They should automatically re-sync.
  3. If the issue persists, perform a factory reset (refer to the user guide for specific steps, often involving holding buttons while in the case).
• Audio Cutting Out/Bluetooth Disconnection:
  1. Ensure your device is within the 10-meter Bluetooth range.
  2. Minimize obstacles between your device and the earbuds.
  3. Check for interference from other wireless devices.
  4. Ensure earbuds are fully charged.
• Microphone Not Working (iPhone Specific):

  Please note that some iPhone models may not allow external Bluetooth earbuds to be used as a microphone for video recording directly through the native camera app. This is a limitation of the iPhone's operating system, not the earbuds themselves. For calls and other audio functions, the microphone should work as expected.
