Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your DJM-S11 mixer for optimal performance.

1. Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all items listed in the packing contents are present and undamaged. The DJM-S11 Special Edition features a unique paint job and an exclusive Easter egg within its load screen.

2. Connecting Power

  • Ensure the mixer's power switch is in the OFF position.
  • Connect the supplied power cord to the AC IN terminal on the rear panel of the mixer.
  • Plug the other end of the power cord into a suitable power outlet.

3. Audio Connections

The DJM-S11 offers versatile connectivity for various audio sources.

  • Master Outputs: Connect your main speakers to the MASTER 1 (XLR balanced) or MASTER 2 (RCA unbalanced) outputs.
  • Booth Output: Connect your booth monitor speakers to the BOOTH (TRS balanced) outputs.
  • Input Channels (CH1/CH2):
    • PHONO/LINE: Connect turntables to PHONO inputs (with ground wire) or CDJs/other line-level devices to LINE inputs.
    • USB (Computer/Controller): Utilize the dual USB-B ports (USB A/B) to connect up to two computers simultaneously for Serato DJ Pro or rekordbox control. This allows for seamless DJ changeovers and flexible setups.
  • Microphone Input: Connect a microphone to the MIC input. The DJM-S11 features a full XLR input for professional microphone connections, eliminating the need for a 1/4-inch adapter.
  • AUX Input: Connect external audio devices to the AUX (RCA) input.

The mixer's design allows for simultaneous playback from multiple devices on a single channel by switching between USB, Line, and Phono inputs using the input selector knob on each channel.
