2. Important Safety Information

• High Temperature: The heat gun produces high temperatures. Avoid direct contact with the nozzle and heated surfaces. Allow the tool to cool completely before storing.

5.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the heat gun's built-in 3.6V, 2.0Ah Lithium-Ion battery.

1. Locate the USB charging port at the base of the heat gun.
2. Connect the included USB compatible power cord to the heat gun and to any USB power source with a 2.1A output or higher.
3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. Charging typically takes under 2 hours.
4. Once fully charged, disconnect the heat gun from the power source. The battery maintains a full charge for up to 6 months when stored.

5.2 Attaching the Heat Shield

The included heat shield helps to focus the heat and protect surrounding components.

1. Ensure the heat gun is off and cool.
2. Slide the heat shield onto the nozzle of the heat gun until it is securely in place (refer to Figure 4.4).
3. To remove, simply slide it off.

6.1 Powering On/Off and Heat Modes

The heat gun features a safe start power button to prevent accidental activation.

1. To Power On (Fan Mode): Press and hold the power button for approximately 3 seconds until the blue LED indicator illuminates and the fan starts. This is the cool air mode.
2. To Activate Heat Mode: While in fan mode (blue LED), quickly press the power button once. The LED indicator will change from blue to red, indicating the heating element is active. The tool heats up to 600°F (315°C) within 10 seconds.
3. To Turn Off: Press and hold the power button for approximately 3 seconds until all indicator lights turn off and the fan stops.

6.2 Using the Heat Gun

The W2082 is designed for precise, flameless heating.

• Shrink Tubing & Wire Connectors: Position the heat gun nozzle close to the material. Move the heat gun slowly and evenly over the area until the material shrinks tightly around the wire or connector. The heat shield (Figure 4.3) is recommended for these applications to focus the heat.
• Vinyl Wrap & Crafts: Use the heat gun to gently warm vinyl for easier application or removal, or for various craft projects requiring localized heat. Adjust the distance to control the heat intensity.
• Phone Repair: The focused, flameless heat is suitable for delicate tasks in phone repair, such as loosening adhesive for screen removal. Use caution and maintain appropriate distance to avoid damage.
• Battery Runtime: The heat gun provides a working time of 15-20 minutes on a full charge when operating in heat mode.

7.1 Cleaning
