Setup
Battery Installation
The Polysteel 700 flashlight operates on a dual-power system, allowing the use of either standard alkaline batteries or a Coast ZITHION-X rechargeable lithium-ion battery (sold separately). Four AA COAST Extreme Performance Batteries are included with the product for immediate use.

To install or replace batteries, unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight. Insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators inside the battery compartment. Securely reattach the tail cap.
Charging (for ZITHION-X Rechargeable Battery)
If using the optional ZITHION-X rechargeable battery, it must be removed from the flashlight for charging. Connect the battery to a compatible USB charging cable. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use for optimal performance.

Operating Instructions

Main Beam Operation (Pure Beam & Twist Focus)
The main beam utilizes COAST's patented TWIST FOCUS™ technology, allowing seamless transition between an Ultra View Flood Beam and a BULLS-EYE™ Spot Beam. To adjust the beam, simply twist the head of the flashlight.

C.O.B. Area Light Operation
The C.O.B. LED array is located on the side of the flashlight and offers three distinct modes: white, red, and red flashing. This light is ideal for task lighting or emergency signaling, especially when combined with the magnetic tail cap for hands-free use.

Cleaning
The Polysteel 700 is designed to be dust resistant and has an IPX4 rating for water resistance, protecting against splashes and sprays. To clean the flashlight, wipe its exterior with a damp cloth. Avoid submerging the flashlight in water or using harsh chemical cleaners.
Battery Care
For optimal performance and to prevent damage, replace alkaline batteries when they are depleted. If using rechargeable batteries, ensure they are charged regularly. Remove batteries if the flashlight will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
Troubleshooting
Flashlight Does Not Turn On
- Check battery orientation: Ensure batteries are inserted correctly according to polarity (+/-) markings.
- Replace batteries: If using alkaline batteries, try new ones. If using a rechargeable battery, ensure it is fully charged.
- Clean contacts: Inspect battery contacts for dirt or corrosion. Gently clean with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol if necessary.
