Important Safety Information

• Follow the information on the warning labels on the upper bunk bed structure and the carton. Do not remove the warning label from the bed.
• Do not allow children under 6 years of age to use the upper bunk.
• Prohibit more than one person on the upper bunk.
• Always use the ladder or stairway to enter and leave the upper bunk.
• If the bunk bed is placed next to the wall, the guardrail that runs the full length of the bed should be placed against the wall to prevent entrapment between the bed and the wall.
• Always use guardrails on both long sides of the upper bunk.
• Never attach or hang items to any part of the bunk bed that are not designed for use with the bed, for example, but not limited to hooks, belts, and jump ropes.

Assembly Instructions

Assembly is required and tools are included. Please follow the steps carefully to ensure proper and safe construction of your bunk bed and trundle unit.

Trundle Assembly:

The following video provides a visual guide for assembling the trundle unit. Ensure all parts are present before beginning.

Bunk Bed Assembly (General Steps):

1. Unpack and Identify Parts: Carefully unpack all components and verify against the parts list in your included manual. Separate hardware.
2. Assemble End Panels: Attach the horizontal rails to the vertical posts for both the headboard and footboard sections of both the upper and lower bunks. Secure with provided hardware.
3. Attach Side Rails: Connect the side rails to the assembled headboard and footboard panels for the lower bunk. Ensure all connections are tight.
4. Install Lower Bunk Slats: Place the bed slats evenly across the lower bunk's side rails and secure them according to the manual.
5. Assemble Upper Bunk: Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the upper bunk.
6. Stack Bunks: Carefully lift and place the upper bunk onto the lower bunk, aligning the stacking pins or connectors. Secure the bunks together with the specified hardware.
7. Install Upper Bunk Slats: Place and secure the bed slats for the upper bunk.
8. Attach Guardrails: Install the safety guardrails on both long sides of the upper bunk.
9. Install Ladder: Secure the end ladder to the designated entry point on the top bunk. The ladder can be positioned on the right or left, front or back.
10. Final Checks: Ensure all bolts and screws are tightened, and the bed is stable before use.

Operating Instructions

Using the Trundle:

The full trundle unit is designed to slide smoothly beneath the lower bunk. To use, simply pull the trundle unit out from under the bed. To store, push it back into place. Ensure no obstructions are present when moving the trundle.

Converting to Two Full Beds:

This bunk bed can be separated into two individual full-size beds. To convert:

1. Remove the ladder and any connecting hardware between the upper and lower bunks.
2. Carefully lift the upper bunk off the lower bunk. It is recommended to have at least two adults for this step.
3. Place each bunk in its desired location. Note that the top bunk footboard will have a gap where the ladder was attached.

Care and Maintenance

To maintain the quality and appearance of your Bedz King bunk bed, wipe surfaces with a damp cloth as needed. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that may damage the finish. Regularly check all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight and secure.
