The GEWISS GWD6771 is an analog 24-hour timer switch designed for precise daily scheduling of electrical circuits. Installation

1. Power Disconnection: Before beginning installation, ensure that the main power supply to the circuit where the timer will be installed is completely disconnected.
2. Mounting: The GWD6771 is designed for DIN rail mounting. Snap the device onto a standard 35mm DIN rail within an electrical enclosure. It occupies 1 module (18 mm) of space.
3. Wiring: Connect the power supply and the load to the appropriate terminals as indicated on the device's wiring diagram (typically found on the side or back of the unit). Ensure all connections are secure and correctly polarized. The timer has 1 Normally Open (NO) contact.
4. Power Reconnection: Once installation and wiring are complete and verified, restore power to the circuit.

Operating Instructions

Setting the Current Time

• Rotate the central dial clockwise until the current time aligns with the reference arrow or marker on the timer's face. The dial is marked for 24 hours.

Programming ON/OFF Times

• The dial is surrounded by 96 small segments (chevalets), each representing 15 minutes.
• To set an "ON" period, push the corresponding segments outwards.
• To set an "OFF" period, leave the corresponding segments in their inward position.
• For example, to turn a device ON from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, push out all segments between the 8 and 10-hour marks on the dial.

Selector Switch Operation

The timer features a selector switch, typically with three positions:

• Always ON: The connected device will remain continuously ON, overriding the programmed schedule.
• Always OFF: The connected device will remain continuously OFF, overriding the programmed schedule.
• Automatic (Clock Symbol): The connected device will operate according to the programmed ON/OFF schedule set by the segments.

Select the desired operating mode using this switch.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Keep the timer clean and free from dust. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Connection Checks: Periodically inspect electrical connections to ensure they remain tight and secure.
• Environmental Conditions: Ensure the timer is operated within its specified environmental conditions (temperature, humidity) to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Important: This model does not have a power reserve. In the event of a power outage, the timer will stop and will need to be reset to the correct time once power is restored. Consider model GW D6 772 for power reserve functionality.

Troubleshooting

• Timer Not Operating:
  • Check if the main power supply to the circuit is active.
  • Ensure the selector switch is set to the "Automatic" (clock symbol) position.
  • Verify that the current time is correctly set and that the programmed segments are pushed out for the desired "ON" period.
  • Confirm all wiring connections are secure.
• Time Drift/Incorrect Time:
  • If a power outage occurred, the timer would have stopped. Reset the current time manually. This model does not have a power reserve.
• Device Stays ON/OFF Constantly:
  • Check the selector switch position. It might be set to "Always ON" or "Always OFF" instead of "Automatic."
  • Ensure the segments are correctly pushed in/out for the desired programming.
