1. Setup
This section guides you through the initial setup of your Kurzweil KP-30 Portable Arranger.
1.1 Power Supply
The KP-30 can be powered using either the included AC adapter or batteries.
- AC Adapter: Connect the provided AC adapter to the DC IN jack on the rear panel of the KP-30. Plug the other end into a standard wall outlet.

- Play chords in the lower section of the keyboard to control the accompaniment's harmony.
- Use the FILL button to insert a drum fill during playback.
2.4 Lesson Mode
Improve your playing skills with the integrated Lesson Mode.
- Press the LESSON button to activate Lesson Mode.
- Follow the instructions on the LCD display to practice built-in songs or exercises.
2.5 Recording
Capture your musical ideas using the built-in MIDI recorder.
- Press the RECORD button to start recording. The record indicator will light up.
- Play your performance on the keyboard.
- Press PLAY to stop recording and listen to your recorded track.

- Connect the KP-30 to a computer or other MIDI device using a USB Type A cable.
