3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the NOVA 4 SPS floodlight and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.
3.2 Battery Installation
To install the SPS battery pack, locate the battery compartment on the rear of the floodlight. Align the battery pack with the slot and push it firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure the battery is securely seated before operation.

3.3 Charging the Battery
Connect the SPS Charging System to a power outlet and then to the charging port on the floodlight or directly to the battery pack. The battery indicator lights will show the charging status. A full charge is indicated when all lights are solid green. The floodlight can also operate directly from the power supply without a battery installed, or while the battery is charging.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off and Dimming
Press the power button to turn the floodlight on. The light output can be adjusted in 5 steps using the dimmer buttons (+/-) on the control panel. The battery indicator will show the current charge level.
4.2 Bluetooth Light Control
Download the Scangrip Bluetooth app on your smartphone or tablet. Activate Bluetooth on your device and open the app. Follow the in-app instructions to pair with your NOVA 4 SPS floodlight. The app allows for remote control of light output, scheduling, and other advanced features.

4.3 Backup Battery Functionality
In case the main battery is depleted or removed, the integrated backup battery will automatically activate, providing up to 1 hour of light at 1000 lumens. This ensures continuous operation during battery changes or unexpected power loss.
4.4 Using as a Power Bank
The NOVA 4 SPS includes a built-in USB output port. Connect your smartphone or other USB-powered devices to this port using a compatible USB cable to charge them directly from the floodlight's battery.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
Regularly clean the floodlight with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the surface or internal components. Ensure the charging port and battery contacts are free from dirt and debris.
5.2 Battery Care
To maximize battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use, and charge it periodically if stored for extended periods. Use only the original Scangrip SPS Charging System.
5.3 Storage
When storing the floodlight, ensure it is clean and dry. Store it in a safe place away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. If storing for a long time, remove the battery pack.
6. Troubleshooting
- Light does not turn on: Check if the battery is properly installed and charged. Ensure the power cable is securely connected if operating directly from the mains.
- Battery not charging: Verify that the charging cable and adapter are correctly connected and functioning. Check for any damage to the charging port or battery.
- Bluetooth connectivity issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the floodlight. Try restarting both the floodlight and your device. Make sure you are within the Bluetooth range.
- Reduced light output: The battery may be low. Charge the battery or connect to a power supply.
