Carefully remove all packaging materials from the water dispenser. Inspect the unit for any damage that may have occurred during shipping. If any damage is found, do not operate the unit and contact customer service.
3.2 Placement
- Place the dispenser on a firm, level surface capable of supporting its weight when a full water bottle is installed.
- Ensure there is at least 10 cm (4 inches) of clearance from the back and sides of the unit to allow for proper ventilation.
- Avoid placing the dispenser in direct sunlight or near heat-generating appliances (e.g., ovens, dishwashers).
- Do not place the dispenser in an area where the temperature will drop below 10°C (50°F).

3.3 Initial Cleaning
Before first use, wipe the exterior of the dispenser with a soft, damp cloth. Clean the drip tray and grid with mild soap and water. It is recommended to flush the internal tanks before first use (see Section 5.2 for draining instructions).
3.4 Water Bottle Installation
- Remove the protective seal from a standard 19-liter (5-gallon) water bottle.
- Carefully lift the water bottle and place it upright onto the water bottle support on top of the dispenser. Ensure the bottle is seated firmly and correctly. The bottle's cap will be pushed in, allowing water to flow into the dispenser's reservoirs.
3.5 Power Connection
Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Allow the dispenser to stand for at least 30 minutes before turning on the heating and cooling functions. This allows the compressor lubricant to settle.
3.6 First Dispense
After plugging in and installing the water bottle, dispense at least 1 liter (approximately 4 cups) of water from each tap (hot, cold, and room temperature) to ensure the tanks are filled and to flush any air from the system. Do not activate the heating or cooling switches until water has been dispensed from all taps.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Control Panel

Image: A close-up view of the Mabe water dispenser's control panel. It features three illuminated icons: a power symbol (circle with a vertical line), three wavy lines (indicating hot water), and a snowflake (indicating cold water). These icons likely serve as indicators or touch controls.
- Power Indicator (⏻): Illuminates when the unit is powered on.
- Hot Water Indicator (≋): Illuminates when the hot water heating function is active.
- Cold Water Indicator (❅): Illuminates when the cold water cooling function is active.
Switches for activating the hot and cold water functions are typically located on the back of the unit. Turn them ON to enable heating and cooling.
4.2 Dispensing Water
- Place a cup or glass under the desired tap.
- For Cold Water: Press the blue tap lever. The cold water indicator will be lit when the water is at its optimal cold temperature.
- For Room Temperature Water: Press the middle tap lever.
- For Hot Water: This tap usually has a safety feature. Simultaneously press the safety lock button (often red) and the red tap lever. The hot water indicator will be lit when the water is at its optimal hot temperature. Exercise caution when dispensing hot water to prevent burns.
- Release the lever to stop the water flow.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Regular Cleaning
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
- Drip Tray: The drip tray should be emptied and cleaned regularly to prevent overflow and bacterial growth. Remove the grid, empty the tray, wash with mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly, and replace.
5.2 Draining the Dispenser
Draining is necessary for deep cleaning, storage, or moving the unit.
- Unplug the dispenser from the power outlet.
- Remove the water bottle from the top.
- Place a large bucket or container under the drain plugs located at the back of the dispenser.
- Carefully remove the drain plugs (usually two: one for cold, one for hot) to allow water to drain completely from both tanks.
- Once drained, replace the drain plugs securely.
- For deep cleaning, you may flush the system with a mild sanitizing solution (e.g., diluted white vinegar) before rinsing thoroughly with clean water and draining again.
