5. Installation
Follow these steps to install the Smart WiFi Receiver into your ceiling fan:
- Turn off Power: Before beginning, ensure the power to the ceiling fan is completely off at the circuit breaker.
- Access Wiring: Remove the canopy of your ceiling fan to expose the wiring.
- Connect Wires: Use the provided wire nuts to connect the receiver according to the wiring schematic below. Match colors carefully:
- White: Neutral input (N input)
- Black: Live input (L input)
- Yellow: Antenna (Do not break the surface)
- Black: Live output to fan (L output to fan)
- Blue: Live output to light (L output to light)
- White: Neutral output (N output)
- Position Receiver: The compact size of the receiver allows it to fit into most fan canopies. Carefully tuck the receiver and wires into the fan's housing.
- Reassemble Fan: Securely reattach the fan canopy.
- Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.

6. Setup (Remote & App Pairing)
6.1 Remote Control Pairing
The remote control should be pre-paired with the receiver. If not, or if you wish to re-pair, ensure the fan has power. Press and hold the '8H' button on the remote for more than 3 seconds until you hear a single beep from the receiver, indicating successful pairing.
6.2 Smart Life App Connection
To connect your fan to the Smart Life App for smart control:
- Download App: Download the "SMART LIFE" App from your smartphone's app store.
- Register/Login: Register a new account or log in if you already have one.
- Add Device: Tap the "+" icon on the top right corner of the home page.
- Select Device Type: Select "Small Home Appliances", then choose "Fan".
- Connect to WiFi: Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network. Enter your accurate WiFi name and password. (Note: This device only supports 2.4 GHz WiFi. If your router is dual-band, temporarily switch to 2.4 GHz during setup).
- Reset Device: Turn on the ceiling fan power. Press and hold the "8H" button on the remote for more than 3 seconds and wait for a single beep "B....." from the receiver.
- Confirm Indicator: In the app, select "EZ mode" (default mode), tap "Confirm indicator rapidly blink", and then tap "Next".
- Adding Device: The app will now search for and add the device. Please wait for the connection to complete.
- Success: Once connected, you can use the app to control your fan. If EZ mode fails, try "AP mode" by following the app's instructions.
