4. Setup

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press the ON/OFF TARE button. The display will show '0' or '0.0' when ready.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the ON/OFF TARE button for a few seconds, or the scale will automatically shut off after approximately 10 seconds of inactivity to conserve battery life.

5.2 Unit Conversion

Press the MODE button to cycle through the available weighing units: kilograms (kg), grams (g), ounces/pounds (oz/lb), and milliliters (ml).

5.3 Weighing Items

  1. Ensure the scale is powered on and displaying '0' or '0.0'.
  2. Place the item to be weighed directly onto the center of the weighing platform.
  3. The weight will be displayed on the LCD screen in the selected unit.

5.4 Tare Function (Zeroing)

The tare function allows you to weigh multiple ingredients in the same container or to exclude the weight of a container.

  1. Place an empty container on the scale. The display will show its weight.
  2. Press the ON/OFF TARE button. The display will reset to '0' or '0.0'.
  3. Add the ingredient(s) to the container. The display will show only the net weight of the added ingredient(s).
  4. Repeat the tare process for additional ingredients if needed.

6. Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Wipe the scale surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water.
  • Storage: Store the scale in a cool, dry place. Avoid placing heavy objects on the scale when not in use.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator ('Lo') appears on the display. Remove batteries if the scale will not be used for an extended period.

  • Display shows 'Lo': Indicates low battery. Replace the batteries.
  • Display shows 'Err' or 'O-Ld': Indicates overload. The weight on the scale exceeds the maximum capacity (5 kg). Remove items immediately to prevent damage.
  • Inaccurate readings: Ensure the scale is on a flat, stable surface. Check if batteries are low. Avoid placing the scale near strong electromagnetic fields.
  • Scale does not turn on: Check battery installation and ensure batteries are not depleted.
